The Disneyland app is an essential companion for any Disney adventure. Not only does it streamline your entry into the Parks and securely store your tickets, but it’s also a time-saving powerhouse. We adore it for its easy-to-use Park maps, real-time ride wait times, and the ability to manage your daily plans and reservations effortlessly.
Plus, if you’re keen on capturing magical moments, the app lets you stash all your photos using PhotoPass.
But wait, there’s more! Let’s delve into three incredible features of the Disneyland app that will help you save valuable time and make the most out of your Disney experience.
How to Save Time at Disneyland Using the Disney App
Let’s face it: lines at Disneyland can be as iconic as Mickey Mouse himself. Whether you’re queuing up for a Dole Whip, eagerly awaiting your turn on Space Mountain, or browsing through the latest Disney merchandise, chances are you’ll find yourself in line.
And while waiting in line is an inevitable part of the Disney experience, it doesn’t need to take up your entire day. By using the Disneyland App you can save time and your sanity while navigating the Parks and enjoying your trip.
Using the Disneyland app requires a bit of upfront planning and organization, but trust me—it’s worth it. The time you spend planning rides and meals ahead of time is the same time you save inside the parks to rest and watch a show or catch a second go on a favorite ride.

1. Mobile Ordering:
Instead of running to the nearest place or walking around trying to find a short food line, plan your meals ahead of time and order through the app.
With mobile ordering in the Disneyland App, you can schedule your meals for immediate pick-up or for later in the day.
This is great to do when you know what you want for lunch, you can schedule your meals ahead, skip the long lines for ordering and get straight into enjoying your meal.
If you end up changing your mind but already placed the order, you can just cancel. You only get charged for a meal/drink if you pick it up.

2. Mobile Checkout:
You will find yourself in one of the many stores along Main Street at some point during your Disney trip. And if it’s later in the day, you will see crazy long lines to pay.
Skip those long lines with mobile checkout on the Disneyland App. Simply scan your items using the app, pay securely, and breeze through the dedicated mobile checkout lanes. It’s a huge time-saver and at the end of the day, that’s exactly what you’ll need.

3. Genie+:
You’ve probably heard that Disney replaced it’s free Fast Pass system with Genie Plus. Now, guests can use the paid version (Genie Plus) on the Disneyland app to reserve Lightning Lane access for some of your favorite rides.
On some days the Lightning Lanes can be long, but on most visits, you’ll wait at least half the amount of the regular wait time. That means more rides and more smiles.
The Genie Plus and individual Lightning Lanes can sell out though, so be sure to purchase ahead of time or as soon as you scan into the Park.

As with anything at Disneyland, things take time but they don’t need to take up all your time. The Disneyland app is truly one of the most important parts of your day.
