Searching for the best hotels in Anaheim for your upcoming Disneyland trip? You’re not alone. Deciding which hotel to stay at for your Disney vacation is a big task and is a major part of your vacation budget. Before you book at any Anaheim hotel, there are a few things to consider, like price, amenities, and proximity to the parks. All of these things play a role in how you experience your time at the Disneyland Resort.
There are over thirty hotels in the Anaheim area surrounding Disneyland – that’s a lot of reviews to read and youtube videos to watch. To help narrow down your decision making I’ve put together a list of the top nicest hotels near Disneyland.
The hotels featured are not budget hotels, but deluxe resort hotels with upgraded amenities, upscale dining options, and stunning views.
This post is all about the seven best hotels near Disneyland.
#1 Disneyland Hotel
Address: 1150 Magic Way, Anaheim, CA 92802
The classic and most famous hotel in the area – the Disneyland Resort Hotel. I heard that Walt Disney was the first to build a hotel at a theme park. His idea, a hotel will keep people there longer and spend more money – they got me!! I’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times and each time is a treat. From the standard room to Club Level and themed suites – the Disneyland Hotel is the best. Walking distance from the entrance of both Disneyland and California Adventure, guests even have access to the monorail to take them directly into Disneyland (with valid park admission, of course).
#2 The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
Address: 1600 Disneyland Dr, Anaheim, CA 92802
This hotel is on another level compared to the Disneyland Hotel. While the Disneyland Hotel is classic, the Grand Californian is classy AND it connects to California Adventure. Yes, guests have access straight into California Adventure from a completely separate entrance inside the hotel. You can’t beat that service. They also have amazing restaurants like Hearthstone (a personal favorite) and Napa Rose. You can read a full review of the Napa Rose tasting menu here.
The dining at the Grand Californian has majorly improved with the new addition of Craftsman Bar & Grill and the overhaul to the menu at Hearthstone a few years ago.
#3 The Westin Anaheim Resort
Address: 1030 W Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA 92802
One of the newest luxury hotels in Anaheim, the Westin Resort opened up right behind Disneyland on Katella Avenue in early 2020 but held off until 2021 for its full grand opening. The resort is less than a block from Paradise Pier Hotel (soon to be Pixar Place Hotel) and very walkable to Downtown Disney.
If your family loves absolute luxury, and the best smelling lobby around PLUS rooftop dining – The Westin Anaheim is for you.
#4 JW Marriott Anaheim
Address: 1775 S Clementine St, Anaheim, CA 92802
Opened in August 2020, the JW Marriott is one of the top-tier hotels in the Anaheim Resort area. The JW Marriott features a rooftop bar with stunning views of Disneyland and the surrounding area. It’s a perfect place to catch the fireworks and enjoy and cocktail. You can read a full breakdown of all of the rooftop bars in Anaheim HERE.
This hotel is luxury at its finest, with fine dining, craft cocktails a state-of-the-art fitness center, and more. If your family enjoys making every moment of the Disneyland vacation and experience, the JW Marriott Anaheim is for you.
#5 The Viv Hotel
Address: 1601 S Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92805
The Viv Hotel was previously known as the Radisson Blu Anaheim. It was only open for a year before being purchased by Marriott and renamed The Viv Hotel. It seems the restaurants have been renamed too but remain the same theme and possible food/menus. You can read a full review of our stay at the Radisson Blu Anaheim before its rebranding.
Overall, this is a really nice hotel. I don’t recommend walking to/from the parks from this hotel or taking the ART Bus because it’s very unreliable. But you can catch a short Uber or Lyft and it will work out just fine. The food was also 10/10 at both dining locations on the property.
#6 Hilton Anaheim
Address: 777 W Convention Way, Anaheim, CA 92802
Another Anaheim Convention Center Hotel, the Hilton Anaheim is situated in the perfect area for convention guests and Disneyland fans. The hotel is within walking distance from Disneyland, has easy access to the Convention Center, and features an outdoor pool, two hot tubs, a kids play area, and a fitness center.
This hotel is a great location overall and with the added amenities, it’s definitely at the top of our list for best hotels to stay at near Disneyland.
#7 Anaheim Marriott
Address: 700 W Convention Way, Anaheim, CA 92802
We’ve stayed at this hotel at least five times during our various Disneyland trips. The Anaheim Marriott is definitely within walking distance of the Disneyland Resort. They have a wonderful pool, late night bar and the restaurant serves a delicious breakfast.
This hotel is on the same property as the Anaheim Convention Center but also has its own convention hall. It’s usually pretty packed but always a good time. The staff has been wonderful, the rooms are always clean and it’s perfect for groups.
BONUS HOTEL:
#8 Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort
Address: 1855 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802
Fresh off a $33 million dollar renovation, the Sheraton Park Hotel is absolutely stunning. New dining experiences, a gorgeous pool, and spacious rooms are all available within walking distance from the Disneyland Main Gates. The location is perfect for Disney guests and convention center attendees. Located right along Harbor Blvd, steps for Disneyland, this hotel is the perfect place to take in some pool time between rides.
I hope this list helped to narrow down your hotel choices for your next Disneyland vacation. Each location offers unique amenities and dining options. Take your time going through reviews to find what works best for your family. Let me know if this helped you with your trip and if you’ve stayed at any of these Anaheim hotels before.
