Looking for something fun to do at Disneyland Paris without a park ticket? We created our own hotel bar crawl, visiting four Disney hotels for cocktails, shopping, and plenty of exploring.
Oh, Disneyland Paris.
What a trip.
I LOVE visiting international Disney Parks. They’re the same…but different.
It’s such a weird feeling.
You’re looking at things you recognize. There’s Main Street. There’s the castle. There’s Disney merchandise everywhere. But then all the little details are different.
It almost feels like you’re walking around inside a dream.
It’s especially weird when you’ve seen a place online for YEARS and then suddenly you’re standing there in person, filling in all the parts of the picture you’ve never seen before.
And Disneyland Paris definitely surprised me.
We arrived the day before our first park day, which meant we had an entire afternoon and evening to explore the Disneyland Paris Resort without actually going into the parks.
So naturally, we decided to visit the hotels.
And somewhere along the way, that turned into our own little Disneyland Paris hotel bar crawl.
Four Disney hotels.
Four hotel bars.
A lot of gift shops and a few cocktails.
It ended up being one of my favorite parts of our Disneyland Paris trip.
If you have an arrival day, rest day, or just want something different to do outside the parks, here’s exactly how we spent the day visiting four Disneyland Paris hotels.

Starting Our Day at Disney Village

Before we started exploring the hotels, we spent some time at Disney Village.
Disney Village is basically the Downtown Disney of Disneyland Paris.
And I will say…it’s smaller than Downtown Disney at Disneyland California.
But I’m still glad they have one!
Disneyland Hong Kong doesn’t have a Downtown Disney equivalent, and I was very sad about that. Tokyo Disney Resort sort of has one with Ikspiari, but it’s more of a shopping mall than a Disney-run Downtown Disney experience. But Disney Shanghai had a huge Downtown Disney – it was perfect!
Anyway.
I’m getting distracted. Hahaha.
We started with lunch at Annette’s Diner, which is a 1950s-style American diner.
We ordered burgers and fries.
Very French of us.
Hahaha.
@julia.vaness Stepping into a brand new World of Disney! This location is at Disney Village at Disneyland Paris. I spent way too much time in this store 💖❤️🙌 #disneylandparis #disneyvillage #shoppingatdisneylandparis #worldofdisneyparis #disneyparis ♬ original sound – Julia Vaness
And then, obviously, we had to go into EVERY SINGLE SHOP.
I needed to see everything.
I basically ended up buying way too much merchandise, but my heart was very happy.
Once we had eaten and thoroughly investigated the shopping situation, we decided it was time to start exploring the hotels.
Let’s go!
@julia.vaness Spending the afternoon at Disneyland Village. We did a ton of shopping here. Disney Village isn’t very big but we still had a great time going through the shops. And I picked up a lot of new items 💖💖💖 #disneyvillage #disneylandparis #disneyparisshopping #disneyparisvlog #disneyland ♬ original sound – Julia Vaness
Our Disneyland Paris Hotel Bar Crawl

We didn’t start the day with some elaborate four-hotel drinking itinerary.
It kind of just…happened.
We wanted to see the different Disneyland Paris hotels, and grabbing a drink at each hotel gave us an excuse to slow down and actually spend some time there instead of walking through the lobby, saying, “Cute!” and immediately leaving.
This became less of a traditional bar crawl and more of a very leisurely hotel tour with beverages.
Which is exactly my speed.
We shopped.
We explored the lobbies.
We looked at the theming.
We sat at each bar.
And by the end of the night, we had a MUCH better idea of which Disneyland Paris hotels we would actually want to stay at on another trip.
Stop #1: Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel

Our first hotel of the day was Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.
We LOVED it.
The hotel felt bright and happy, and there were families everywhere. Matching Disney shirts. Marvel details. Really cool Avengers displays.
It had good energy.
Honestly, this was probably the hotel that reminded me most of being at Walt Disney World.
I could absolutely see us staying here on another Disneyland Paris trip.
Drinks at Skyline Bar
We headed to Skyline Bar for our first drinks of the day.
The concept was the same as the Skyline on the Disney Fantasy, except this one was New York and Marvel themed.
Behind the bar, the “windows” looked out toward the New York skyline, complete with Avengers Tower.
And every once in a while, things would happen outside.
Avengers would appear.
There would be action happening across the skyline.
Obviously I was watching for it.
Hahaha.
They also had some really fun themed drinks. Some of the more elaborate options were only served during certain times, so we weren’t able to order everything we saw.
But we DID get the Darkhold.
It was a Scarlet Witch-themed non-alcoholic drink that tasted like a cherry cordial.
It was AMAZING.
@julia.vaness Trying a couple drinks at the Skyline Bar at the Marvel hotel at Disneyland Paris. This bar was fantastic and my favorite bar out of the 4 hotels they have on property. Absolutely loved it! #disneylandparis #disneydrinks #disneyskylinebarparis #disneyparis #disneymarvelhotel ♬ original sound – Julia Vaness
We shared that one and then each ordered an espresso martini because we needed to keep going.
At this point, we had already been pretty go-go-go for about a week.
Espresso was necessary.
After our drinks, we wandered around the hotel a little more and, naturally, visited the gift shop.
The shop had some Disneyland Paris merchandise, but a lot of it felt similar to Avengers Campus merchandise we’d seen before, so somehow I managed to leave this particular gift shop without buying anything.
Growth.
Stop #2: Disney Sequoia Lodge

After Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, we decided to walk toward the pretty hotel we could see across the water.
But on our way?
We found ANOTHER HOTEL.
Disney Sequoia Lodge!
Apparently our hotel crawl was expanding.
Exploring Disney’s Sequoia Lodge
The overall lodge design immediately reminded me of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel back home.
Lots of wood.
Very outdoorsy.
Cozy lodge energy.
There were also Indigenous-inspired design elements throughout the hotel. Some of those details left me wanting more context about the specific influences and cultures represented rather than having them function primarily as part of a general lodge theme.
I think I would have appreciated those elements more if there had been more interpretation or educational context incorporated into the hotel.
But getting back to the very serious purpose of our afternoon:
Shopping and having a little bevvy.
My husband put our name down at the hotel bar while I ran to the gift shop.
I love me a gift shop.
And yes.
I purchased more things here.
Hehehe.
Drinks at Redwood Bar and Lounge
We met back up at Redwood Bar and Lounge.
This bar was BEAUTIFUL.
It was dark and cozy with lots of natural materials and that classic lodge feeling.
But the hotel itself felt really warm while we were there.
It was stuffy and a little humid inside, which definitely affected how comfortable I felt after walking around all day.
And the bar was DARK. Not like dark-dark, but definitely low light.
Maybe this is me getting older, but I don’t love super-dark restaurants and bars anymore.
I just want to be able to see!
The atmosphere was still beautiful, though, and it was very comfortable once we sat down.
We each ordered a drink and got some little bar snacks with them.
My husband ordered an Old Fashioned, and I ordered a bourbon cocktail.
We took our time, enjoyed our drinks, and then continued our very important research.
Onto hotel number three.
Stop #3: Disney Newport Bay Club

This was the hotel we’d been staring at from across the water.
Y’ALL.
It immediately reminded me of the BoardWalk/Yacht-and-Beach-Club side of Walt Disney World.
Very nautical. Very classic.
And most importantly after Sequoia Lodge?
IT WAS COOL INSIDE.
Hahaha.
The hotel felt much cooler and more comfortable while we were there.
What Disney Newport Bay Club Felt Like
This hotel also felt noticeably different from our first two stops.
During our visit, it felt a little more formal.
We heard a lot more French being spoken around us, and we saw fewer guests wearing head-to-toe Disney outfits and merchandise.
People seemed a little more dressed for a regular resort stay.
Meanwhile, there we were doing our Disney hotel bar crawl.
Obviously this was just our experience during the few hours we visited. I’m sure the atmosphere changes depending on the time of day and who’s staying there.
But compared with Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, Newport Bay Club felt much quieter and more grown-up.
We wandered around for a bit before finding the bar.
Drinks at Captain’s Quarters
Our next stop was Captain’s Quarters.
This bar was beautifully themed.
We found comfortable chairs, settled in, and had views toward the water.
At this point, we’d fully embraced the fact that there was absolutely no reason to rush.
We both ordered gin cocktails and just hung out for a while.
Captain’s Quarters was probably one of the most comfortable bars of the day.
The whole experience felt very relaxed.
By the time we finished our drinks, it was dark outside.
We had spent HOURS slowly making our way around the hotels.
But we weren’t done yet.
There was one very important hotel left.
THE hotel.
Stop #4: Disneyland Hotel

Our final stop was the Disneyland Hotel.
The big one!!!
We had seen the hotel when we first arrived at Disneyland Paris, so I knew it was on the complete opposite side of the resort from where we were.
We were getting hungry at this point, but everywhere else looked busy, so we figured we’d find something at the hotel.
As we got closer, I kept looking around trying to find the entrance to Disneyland Park.
I could see the Disneyland Hotel.
Obviously.
It’s HUGE.
But where was the actual park entrance?
And then I realized.
THE ENTRANCE IS UNDER THE HOTEL.
I feel like I’m explaining this incorrectly every time I tell someone. Hahaha.
It’s not underground.
The Disneyland Hotel is literally built above the entrance and ticket area to Disneyland Park.
And once my brain processed what I was looking at?
I cried.
Very hard.
Hahaha.
It was nighttime.
The entire hotel was lit up.
It was gorgeous.
And this was the moment where it really hit me that we were at Disneyland Paris.
Walking Into the Disneyland Hotel for the First Time
We walked inside and…
I cried more.
Of course I did.
The hotel was phenomenal.
It felt like walking into this gorgeous, elegant home.
There were books and library details tucked into little spaces throughout the hotel.
@julia.vaness Little vlog from the Disneyland Hotel in Paris. We did a fun Disney Hotel tour of the four hotels and ended with the best!! We had a drink at each hotel. It was such a fun night! #disneyparks #Disneylandhotel #disneyparis #disneylandparis #disneylandhotelparis ♬ original sound – Julia Vaness
I wanted to look at EVERYTHING.
We had absolutely no idea where we were going, so eventually we asked a Cast Member where we could find the bar.
By this point, it was around 8:30 p.m., and the hotel was PACKED.
There were families everywhere.
Kids.
People dressed up.
Guests coming from dinner.
So much energy.
It felt completely different from Newport Bay Club.
And before we found the lounge…
We found the gift shop.
Oops.
Obviously I had to buy something.
DON’T JUDGE ME.
IT WAS VACATION.
Hahaha.
Our Final Drinks at Fleur de Lys Bar
Eventually, we found Fleur de Lys Bar.
It was so pretty.
Classic.
Elegant.
And it fit perfectly with the rest of the Disneyland Hotel.
We ordered our final cocktails of the evening and decided we also needed food, so we ordered an appetizer to share.
We got the pita and dip trio, which was exactly what we needed after spending the afternoon drinking our way around Disneyland Paris.
The energy here was my favorite.
The hotel was still busy when we left around 10 p.m.
There were kids everywhere.
People were coming out of character dining.
Everyone was dressed up.
People were excited.
It just felt HAPPY.
This was the happiest hotel of the day.
And ending our little Disneyland Paris hotel crawl here felt perfect.
Which Disneyland Paris Hotel Bar Was Our Favorite?

This is actually hard because I liked them for completely different reasons.
Skyline Bar at Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel was probably the most FUN. I loved the Marvel details, the skyline, and the themed drinks.
Redwood Bar and Lounge at Sequoia Lodge was the coziest. If you love darker lodge bars and want somewhere to settle in with a bourbon or Old Fashioned, I can absolutely see the appeal.
Captain’s Quarters at Newport Bay Club was probably the most comfortable and relaxing. I loved the chairs, the nautical atmosphere, and sitting by the water.
But…
Fleur de Lys at the Disneyland Hotel was my favorite overall experience.
Part of that was absolutely the hotel itself.
Walking into the Disneyland Hotel at night for the first time, seeing everyone dressed up, watching families coming from character dinner, and realizing Disneyland Park was RIGHT THERE made the whole thing feel extra special.
If I could only choose one hotel to visit?
Disneyland Hotel.
But I’m really glad we visited all four.
Is a Disneyland Paris Hotel Crawl Worth Doing?

YES.
Especially if you have a non-park day.
You absolutely do not need to recreate our exact four-bar drinking tour.
You could visit the hotels and grab coffee.
Order a snack.
Have one cocktail.
Go shopping.
Look at the theming.
Or simply walk around.
What I loved was that it gave us an opportunity to see more of Disneyland Paris than we would have if we’d gone straight from our hotel to the parks every day.
And now, if we go back and want to stay at a Disney hotel, we have a much better idea of how each one actually FEELS.
That’s something you can’t always understand from looking at hotel photos online.
Tips for Planning Your Own Disneyland Paris Hotel Crawl

Do This on an Arrival or Non-Park Day
We arrived before our first Disneyland Paris park day, so exploring Disney Village and the hotels gave us something Disney-related to do without using a park ticket.
It also made me SO excited for the next morning.
Don’t Rush Through the Hotels
This took us most of the afternoon and evening because we weren’t treating it like a checklist.
We sat down.
We ordered drinks.
I investigated every gift shop.
Very important.
We looked around the lobbies.
That’s what made it fun.
You Don’t Have to Drink Alcohol
Our crawl included alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
You could easily make this a snack crawl, mocktail crawl, coffee tour, or simply a hotel tour.
The point is exploring the resorts.
Check Current Bar Hours and Access Before You Go
Hotel restaurant and bar hours can change, and availability may vary.
If there’s one bar you’re REALLY excited about, check the current Disneyland Paris information before making your way over.
This is especially important if you’re building your evening around a specific drink or dining experience.
Wear Comfortable Shoes
I know.
We’re not even inside Disneyland yet and I’m already telling you to wear comfortable shoes.
Welcome to Disney vacation planning. Hahaha.
You’re still walking around a large resort area, so don’t underestimate how much ground you can cover while visiting multiple hotels.
Disneyland Paris Hotel FAQ

Can You Visit Disneyland Paris Hotels if You’re Not Staying There?
We were able to visit these Disneyland Paris hotels and their public areas during our trip even though we weren’t staying at each property.
Access policies can change, however, so I recommend checking current Disneyland Paris information before planning your hotel crawl.
Do You Need a Disneyland Paris Park Ticket to Visit the Hotel Bars?
Our hotel crawl was part of our non-park day, which is exactly why I loved this activity.
We were able to explore Disney Village and visit the hotel bars without spending the day inside Disneyland Park.
Again, check current access policies and bar availability before your trip.
Can You Visit Disneyland Paris Hotels Without Drinking?
Absolutely.
You do NOT need to turn this into a four-bar crawl like we did.
Hahaha.
Visit the gift shops.
Look around the lobby.
Grab a snack.
Order a mocktail.
Get coffee.
Or choose one hotel for a drink and simply explore the others.
Which Disneyland Paris Hotel Would I Most Want to Stay At?

Based purely on this afternoon of exploring?
Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel and Disneyland Hotel were the two that made me most excited about potentially staying there.
Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel felt fun, energetic, and VERY Disney.
But Disneyland Hotel?
That was special.
Walking into that hotel at night basically sealed it for me.
Final Thoughts: Visiting the Disneyland Paris Hotel Bars

This was SUCH a fun way to spend our non-park day at Disneyland Paris.
What started as wandering around Disney Village somehow turned into four hotels, four bars, multiple gift shops, cocktails, snacks, and a complete tour of a huge part of the resort.
And I loved it.
We got to see the personality of each hotel.
We tried different drinks.
I did a completely reasonable amount of shopping – no further questions.
And most importantly, we got a much better feeling for where we might want to stay on another Disneyland Paris trip.
If you have an arrival day or a free afternoon outside the parks, I absolutely recommend exploring the Disneyland Paris hotels.
And definitely save the Disneyland Hotel for nighttime if you can.
Seeing it completely lit up before walking inside for our final drink?
Pure Disney magic.
XOXO,
Julia
