Reviewing Anaheim hotels near Disneyland is an Olympic sport to me. I’m obsessed with finding the PERFECT hotel for every occasion. And I’m so happy I stumbled upon the newly remodeled Wyndham Anaheim Resort.
We booked our room in August for our October stay. It’s holiday time, so everything is booking up fast and room rates have been insane. After hours of searching, the Wyndham Anaheim POPPED up out of nowhere and I booked it immediately. We booked our stay using Hotels.com because I love how they offer free cancellations.
Let’s review the newly remodeled Anaheim hotel and go through all of the details!

The Wyndham Anaheim is within walking distance from the Disneyland Resort. It’s located on Katella Avenue, close to the Katella and Harbor Blvd Cross street. It’s a 10-minute walk from the Disneyland main gate area on Harbor Blvd.

Wyndham Anaheim Parking
Parking at the Wyndham Anaheim is free for the first vehicle and $20 for any additional vehicles, per day. It felt like a very fair parking rate, especially because Disneyland parking is $30 a day. There is a tiny lot near the main entrance and a larger lot in the parking garage under the hotel. It was very clean, well-lit, and felt safe. The elevator lobby was also well-lit and clean too.
Amenities and Perks
The Wyndham Anaheim checks off all of the boxes as far as amenities, for me. Not only is the hotel within walking distance from Disneyland but it’s also next to the Anaheim Garden Walk. The Garden Walk area is an outdoor shopping and dining center with amazing restaurants and fun shops. It’s a great place to grab dinner after a long day at the parks.
The hotel also features a pool, hot tub, fitness center, and laundry room. There is also a cafe and bar located in the lobby that serves Starbucks coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Their beer and wine selection is wonderful and is all available at way better costs than inside the park or on Disney property.
There is ample parking in the underground lot that connects directly to the hotel with an elevator and the staff was friendly each time we visited the front desk. The Wyndham Anaheim is a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel, so guests can also purchase tickets onsite if they haven’t already done so.
Wyndham Anaheim Breakfast
The Wyndham Anaheim has a lovely cafe and bar located in their lobby. It has larger tables for groups and also smaller booths too. The cafe is open each morning from 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM for breakfast sandwiches, coffee and light snacks.
Distance from Disneyland
The Wyndham Anaheim hotel is within walking distance from Disneyland. It took us about 10 minutes to walk to the Disneyland transportation area and main gates bright and early in the morning and probably 20 minutes to walk back at midnight after a 15-hour day at the parks. It’s so close and there are always tons of people around, even at midnight.
Room Tour
Our room was perfect for four adults. It included two queen beds, a couch, and a coffee table. It also included a desk, mini fridge with a lot of storage space, a microwave and Keurig machine. It’s always a priority to get a room with a bit of extra sitting space to relax after being at the parks and having a microwave is huge for late-night snacks.
We were able to heat up our pizza from the parks, make cup-o-noodles using the Keurig and store our drinks in the giant fridge.
We were so happy to enter the room and have it smell of fresh bleach. It sounds crazy but having a clean room offers a lot of peace of mind. We’ve had recent hotel stays where the rooms were questionable and it made it very difficult to relax in the rooms. Luckily, this hotel room and the entire hotel were very clean. There was even a cute little towel shaped like a swan on our bed when we arrived. It’s those little touches that make us want to book this hotel again.
The bathroom was bright and clean. It came with travel-sized shampoo, conditioner and lotion and a hair dryer for use during the stay. They provided us with extra towels very shortly after we requested them and the staff was courteous on the phone.
I say it all the time, but service is a HUGE deal for me and this hotel had EXCELLENT service. My entire group loved the room and the hotel and was so happy we could walk to the parks instead of waiting for an ART Bus or calling a ride-share.
I’m so excited to share our stay at the Wyndham Anaheim because it was truly an amazing stay. We planned for this Disneyland weekend for months and having a comfortable hotel to go home to at the end of a long day was exactly what we needed. We will definitely be staying here again.
