After completing my first-ever runDisney race and Half Marathon, I am now obsessed with registering for my next race.
Running is a ginormous challenge and I LOVE a good challenge. That’s why I’m super excited to finally be a part of the runDisney family.
runDisney hosts race weekends a few times a year, so there are a lot of opportunities to join and find a race suitable for you. And luckily, starting in 2024, runDisney will make it’s big return to the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim!
This is big news because Disneylanders have been without a race for the last five years.
I’m determined to sign up for another half marathon, so I will be tracking race schedules and activities. Below is a list of all of the runDisney races coming up for the next year.

2023 Walt Disney World runDisney Races
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend
January 4-8, 2023
A fully Retro, 90’s themed weekend with races starting at 5k to a full marathon. Runners can also choose a virtual race option, registration for the virtual race is still open. There are a number of Challenge races offered this year too, including the Goofy’s Race and Half Challenge, Dopey Challenge and the Disney Castaway Cay Challenge (for those on the Disney cruise line).
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend
February 23-26, 2023
Another half-marathon weekend! The Princess Half Marathon has a 5k race, 10k race, half marathon, a Fairytale Challenge, and a virtual challenge. There’s even morning Princess Yoga available!
April 13-16, 2023
A race weekend that celebrates the magic and fun of Pixar! The Springtime Surprise weekend will have a Disney Pixar Cars 5k, Disney Pixar Monsters 10k, Disney Pixar Toy Story 10-miler, and a Springtime Surprise Challenge! Registration for morning yoga, the 10-miler, and virtual races are still open.
2024 Disneyland Resort runDisney Races
Disney just announced the return of runDisney races at the Disneyland Resort in 2024! No other details were released but I’m sure we can expect some big announcements in the next few months.
Disneyland hasn’t hosted a runDisney race in 5 years, so I know we’re all eager to find out registration dates. I hope they do a Marvel race! I don’t think Anaheim would be able to host a full marathon but maybe we can do a half marathon along with the 5k and 10k. I’ll update as soon as announcements are made.
