Let’s talk about the biggest trends we’re going to see at the Disney Parks and within the Disney community in 2023. Everyday Disney style or Disney street style is growing and evolving each year. As the Disney community expands and we’re introduced to new movies and music that inspires us and new creators enter the space, we get presented with new styles, trends, colors, etc.
Disney style is all about having fun, being bold, and expressing what makes Disney so magical to you – it’s personal. Style is always personal. Keep that in mind when you don’t agree with someone’s outfit. Remember, that outfit took them time and inspired them, and made them smile as they walked out the door. Please be respectful of everyones personal style, especially at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Disney Parks are going to see a resurgence of bright colors, bold prints, and statement accessories. Textures will be key, as well as mixing and matching different Disney-inspired elements.
This post is all about popular Disney trends in 2023.
In 2023, we can expect to see even more creative, personalized styles that reflect the unique personalities of the Disney fan base. From everyday streetwear styles to Disneybounding and creative chaos, the possibilities are endless.
Below is a breakdown of what I’m seeing in street style and a bit of what I’m personally loving and think will influence Disney Park trends in 2023.
What to wear to Disneyland in 2023
Neon and Vibrant Colors
Adding a pop of color to an outfit can help bring your look to life. It creates a unique look that expresses your personality and style. Go for a monochromatic look or add small hints of color throughout your neutral pieces. Dopamine Dressing is still alive and well and is predicted to be popular in 2023. And that means it will be running rampant through the Disney Parks.
With the Disney 100 Celebration starting this year at Disneyland, this year is all about bright purple and what better way to shake it up even more with a bright green or pink. Mix and match to bring your Disney Parks outfit to life.
Take the time to figure out what works best with pieces you already have and figure out how you can upcycle or remix older or thrifted pieces.

Ribbons and Bows
Ribbons and bows are a beautiful way to add a romantic, feminine touch to any look. In cottage core and princess core styles, they can be used to bring a little bit of whimsy and fantasy to an everyday outfit. To give your look a touch of the past, try using ribbons and bows with heavier materials like denim to break up the look and soften it. For a subtle nod to Disney princess vibes, you can add them to your ears or to your accessories for a fun, playful look.

Fringe and Tassels
Fringe and tassels are making a huge splash this year. We’re talking fringe jackets, fringe pants, and even fringe bags. Short or long fringe, the more the merrier. Tassels are another favorite to go along with our friend the fringe. Tassels can be added to a number of items you may already have or you can purchase a fun tassel bag or even tassel earrings. Both fringe and tassels are always fun and create the party, no matter where you are. Adding these to your Disney outfits adds so much depth and movement to the overall look.

Beads
Now to my favorite 2023 Disney style trend, beads. Kandi beads, stone beads, glass beads, whatever your heart desires. Beads add color, texture, and weight and are a fun way to personalize any Disney outfit. Use alphabet beads to create character accessories for your Disneybounds. Add beads to your ears, make bracelets, add them to your shoelaces and earrings or make fun keychains for your Disney bags.
Beads are so dynamic and versatile and with so many styles, you can really create something of your own to wear for your next Disney trip.

Knits
More with the textures. Flowy knits, fringe knits, everything will be KNIT! If you follow a Knitting artist, be on the lookout for Knit bucket hats, bags, sweaters and more. Wearing handmade pieces to Disneyland is truly the best feeling. Being unique and wearing something made with love is the way to go. Invest in truly wonderful pieces that you know you will wear for years to come.
Metallic and Sequins
Shine on with your favorite metallic pieces. I love that fashion moves in cycles and everything always comes back around and finally metallics are back! Pull out those shiny pants, bags and tops, we’re going to Disneyland!
Metallic is perfect for the 100 Years of Wonder at Disneyland this year and the 50th Anniversary at Disney World. Nothing screams a celebration more than a shiny outfit and accessories.
You can simplify your metallics by pairing them with a dense material like a heavy knit sweater, some wide denim pants or a large coat. Don’t think of adding metallics or sequins to your outfit as walking around like a giant disco ball – unless you want that. (I personally love that).
Braids and Bubble Braids
Finally, a hair trend. Braids have been seen all over every fashion week from New York to Copenhagen. Giant braids, tiny braids, side braids – it’s all happening. I’m personally a fan of braiding in items to add a bit more depth and range to the overall look, like adding ribbons, colorful hair extensions, small clips or beads.
To me, more is always the answer. If you’re more of a “less is more” type of person, then adding in a simple colorful hair-tie or even a side clip will look great.
To accessorize your braids for the parks, work in some colors for whatever character you’re bounding as or whatever Land or Movie inspired your outfit.

Maxi Skirt/Dresses
Always in style but we’ll be seeing a lot more of this year, flowy dresses and skirts. Think maxi dresses and skirts but with a lot more volume. Oversized dresses and skirts are super comfortable to wear to Disneyland or Disney World. Layer some biker shorts or even legging underneath during colder days to stay warm.
Flowy outfits look cute with sneakers and sandals and they are easy to dress up or down with a nice blouse or your favorite Disney small shop t-shirt.
Flowy dresses look cute with bomber jackets or your favorite oversized Disney coat. Layering is a must and is fun to do at the Parks.

As the Disney community evolves we’re going to see a lot more variety in what’s worn to the parks and online. A lot of people may think Disney Style is only for wearing to Disneyland or Disney World, but you can wear Disney merch anywhere, anytime and it’s okay.
2023 is going to be a great year for color and I can’t stress enough what a huge emphasis on textures there will be. Mix and match, get creative, and have fun!
With bold colors and patterns, custom designs, or unique accessories, there will be plenty of ways to make any Disney look your own. Not to mention, Disneybounding will continue to be a popular trend where you can show off your favorite characters in an original way. Overall, 2023 is sure to be an exciting year for Disney style and fans alike!
