I’ve been wanting to stay at the Westin Anaheim since it was first announced. I tracked the progress of the hotel during Covid and as soon as it opened I visited and made brunch reservations. But it isn’t until now, Fall 2023, that I’ve been able to finally book my own stay!
We booked the Westin Anaheim Resort for the Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween party at California Adventure. Since the event ends late on a Sunday evening, I didn’t want to drive home, so I jumped on the opportunity to book a room at the Westin.
This post is all about the Westin Anaheim Resort near Disneyland.
My bestie and I took full advantage of the resort for what time we had there. We were able to get early check-in at 11 AM, which worked out perfectly because we wanted to change and head to the pool.
After a poolside lunch, we got ready for Oogie Boogie Bash and enjoyed a drink at the lobby bar, Bar 1030, before heading to the Park.
Even though we stayed for a day, we made sure to check out as much of the Resort as possible.
You know we had to check out not just the pool but also the amazing dining locations and fitness center.
Let’s dive into it all.
Review of the Westin Anaheim Resort 2023
This AAA Four-Diamond property is located across from the Disneyland® Resort and adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center.

The Westin Anaheim Resort is located on Katella Avenue, next to the Anaheim Convention Center and just behind California Adventure.
It was about a 10-minute walk to the Grand Californian Hotel from the Westin Anaheim Resort. Definitely a good walking distance from the Parks.
The Westin Anaheim Resort does not offer transportation to Disneyland, via shuttle. Guests must either walk, take a ride share or drive their vehicle to Disneyland.
@julia.vaness We finally stayed at the Westin Anaheim Resort! It’s walking distance to Disneyland and they even have a rooftop bar to watch the firworks! #westinanaheimresort #westinanaheimhotel #westinanaheimneardisneyland #wheretostayneardisneyland #hotelsneardisneylandcalifornia #luxuryhotelsanaheim #luxuryhotelsneardisneyland #westinanaheimrooftop #westinanaheimdisneyland #westinanaheimtour #westinanaheimpool #hotelswalkingdistancetodisneyland #besthotelsanaheim #besthotelsneardisneyland ♬ original sound – Julia Vaness
Westin Anaheim Resort Dining
Westin Anaheim Room Service Menu
The Westin Anaheim offers in-room dining. I’ve included images of the menu as of Fall 2023.
Westin Anaheim Restaurants
The Tangerine Room is the all-day dining location at the Westin Anaheim. It does close briefly between meal services but you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at this location. On weekends, they even offer brunch.
For finer dining, guests and visitors can enjoy Flemings Prime Steakhouse. This location is only open for late afternoon into evening dining, with no breakfast options.
I personally love Puesto. This restaurant is a Mexican-inspired dining experience with excellent tacos and margaritas.
I’ve been here a number of times and each time it gets better. They change out some of the menu items for each season, but the primary menu stays the same year-round.
@julia.vaness Celebrated my birthday at Puesto Anaheim near Disneyland. Its at the Westin Anaheim Hotel. This is the Westin Anaheim Resort’s lobby bar. It’s located in the main area, across from check-in and the business center tables.
These drinks are strong and delicious. You will definitely enjoy a fantastic cocktail here. They also serve coffee at Bar 1030. I’ve ordered a great iced coffee here on my way out before and loved it too.
RISE is the Westin Anaheim Resort’s premier lounge experience. RISE Is located on the rooftop of the Westin Anaheim and gives guests a great view of Disneyland and the evening fireworks.
Be sure to make your reservations in advance, this location books up fast.

Blossom is the quick-service dining location at the Westin Anaheim Resort. It’s located closer to the street and away from the lobby. You can access this location by taking the walking path in front of the hotel.
At Blossom Cafe and Market, you will find delicious pastries, to-go meals, coffee and a variety of market goods like chips, first aid items, drinks and merchandise/souvenirs.
Bella’s is located just outside the pool. They do have a server that will take food and drink orders from the pool and deliver it to you at your lounge chairs, poolside.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the menu at Bella’s, it all seemed kind of cheap with mostly frozen blended drinks and well mixers like cranberry juice and orange juice.
I personally like to sip on a nice cocktail by the pool but went from a vodka/oj here since there weren’t many options.
The food could have been a bit better too, they had items like chicken fingers and pizza and burgers. All of which was good and family-friendly, but once again, it’s the Westin, so I’d love to see a bit nicer meal items available.
Westin Anaheim Resort Amenities
Westin Bonvoy Club Level
If you have a Marriott Bonvoy Elite Status of Platinum or higher, you’re in for a treat. With a Platinum Status, guests can enjoy the Westin Club, an executive-level lounge located on the eighth floor.
Now, here’s the exciting part! On weekends, you can catch the Disneyland fireworks show from the Westin Club. They even throw in a glass of bubbly for the grown-ups and a yummy dessert. It’s just $50 per room, and it’s perfect for up to four people. Just remember, kids do need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Westin Anaheim Resort Pool
Cabanas
The cabanas were nice but the pool wasn’t crowded enough to need them. If you’re going on a popular weekend and the hotel is packed, I might recommend getting one but if it’s not a holiday weekend I think you’ll be okay.
While we enjoyed our drinks and snacks we weren’t that impressed with the options at Bella’s Splash Pool Bar. Everything felt kind of like bar food and not elevated.
I still enjoy a premium cocktail and good food at the pool. And they mostly had frozen pre-mixed cocktails and basic mixers like cranberry juice and orange juice. It didn’t really match the vibe of the rest of the hotel.
Westin Anaheim Resort Spa & Fitness Center

The Westin Anaheim offers guests a map of the area for running trails. You can learn more here: RunWestin
Feeling like a workout while you’re here? The Westin Anaheim Resort has your back with their Westin Workout Gear Lending. It’s super cool, and it’ll only set you back $5. You can find all the nitty-gritty details right here: Westin Workout Gear Lending.
Westin Anaheim Fitness Center
The Westin also has a fabulous gym. It’s located just next to the pool, so you have a nice view of the outside and water while you’re working out.
They had water fresh towels and the nicest equipment in the fitness center.
If you’re looking to get in a few extra steps during your stay, I highly recommend visiting the fitness center. It was clean and beautiful!
Westin Anaheim Resort Room Tour
We booked a room with two queen beds for one night on a Sunday night. The total was $315 plus parking.
We didn’t have a view of Disneyland from the room but we were only there for one day, so we really didn’t mind.
The room included some nice glassware, a coffee maker, a mini fridge and bottled water. There was no microwave in the room.
Also included in the room were two amazing robes. They were the BEST hotel robes I’ve ever worn. We wanted to buy them because they were so soft. I’m sure they were expensive, so we didn’t even ask about pricing and said goodbye to them at the end of our stay.
The bathroom had great lighting and all of the bath essentials smelled amazing. You will become so addicted to how good everything smells at this hotel.
Westin Anaheim Resort Onsite Family Activities
The Westin Anaheim offers families a ton of activities. I love when hotels, especially ones near Disney parks, participate in creating ‘magic moments’ on their property, even if they aren’t specifically partnered with Disney.
Booking at these nicer hotels does come with a heavier price tag but extra amenities and top-tier service go a long way.
Final Thoughts
I loved staying at the Westin Anaheim and wish we had a bit more time on the property. I’d definitely stay here again if it fits in the budget.
The Westin is a great property if you love luxury. It may be on the pricier side but honestly, it’s not that much more compared to some of the surrounding properties. And it includes such great amenities, that it makes it worth the say.
It was a fun place to stay during our Oogie Boogie Bash weekend and highly recommend staying here if you’re celebrating a birthday or anniversary.
