It was a hot summer this year! Your girl did some traveling and got to experience Disneyland California and Disneyland Shanghai! Both had intense heat.
I’m so happy to be home because now it’s time to share some fun outfits with you! Every single one of these Disney days was hot. You can’t avoid the heat. And Shanghai was extremely humid.
Summertime at Disney parks really does hit differently. I had to prepare a lot and always pack a big bag with the essentials.

What to Wear to Disneyland in August
Denim Romper Disneyland Outfit
We explored Downtown Disney this day with our besties after grabbing lunch at Centrico. This restaurant is such an upgrade from UVA but I do miss the circle bar vibes.
It was extremely hot and sunny and we did a lot of hiding in shops to avoid the sun. I was testing out my romper for Shanghai since it’s equally as hot there in the summer. And to no one’s surprise, wearing a tight denim romper in the heat was the worst decision ever.
It was an immediate no for packing it for Shanghai. But it’s still cute and perfect for Fall!

Casual Summer Disneyland Outfit
I’m a big fan of comfortable Disney days. As much as I love to get all dress up, throwing on a big shirt and bike shorts is the best.
For this day, I only had a few hours at the Park so I wanted to make it an easy outfit. I went with a thrift t-shirt from downtown Orange (the cutest area ever) and my favorite bike shorts from Target.
I will forever carry large-ass bags with me to the parks, so you know I had to pack my Magic Kingdom tote.
I also added some keychains for a little flare that I picked up from AliExpress for super cheap.

Shanghai Disneyland Outfits
Fun Disneyland Shanghai Outfit
Shanghai was another level of heat. It was heat and humidity and intense crowds. I remember the heat and humidity in Orlando…but this was definitely on another level.
I’m going to admit, denim overalls were a bad idea. Avoid heavy materials if you’re going to Shanghai Disneyland during the summer – trust me.
Other than the intense heat and sweating, my outfit was very comfortable. 😂
My spotted overalls are from Topshop and I picked up a new shirt from Amazon. I’ve been obsessed with wearing this Monsters Inc. hat I picked up last month. And then I finally wore my Toy Story Green Alien tote bag!!

Zootopia Outfit Disneyland Shanghai
Shanghai Disneyland day 2 was a lot different than day 1. First, I was able to snag Early Entry – which I 1000% recommend purchasing. And second, I completely changed my outfit to be a lot more breathable and comfortable.
The heat was intense again on day 2 but covering my shoulders felt so much better because I wasn’t burning the entire day and it was breathable.
Sometimes, you need to be comfortable, especially in the heat.
I picked up a new Zootopia shirt from the main shop at the Park entrance. They had so many cute options but I loved the Nick one. I paired it with my black denim shorts I wear all the time and my Magic Kingdom tote bag.
My pink sunglasses made a comeback because they’re so cute and I couldn’t resist and this day I went for the green Madden Girl sneakers.

Summer Disneyland Outfits
Disneyland in Summer can be a bit of a scary experience but it’s always worth it. I hope this post was able to give you a bit of inspiration and a few lessons about dressing for the heat.
