It’s my first Disneyland trip of 2025!!! I’m back, baby!! I had originally planned 3 trips to the parks this month but I was only able to make one of them.
I’m not here to complain though, I’m so happy I was able to go at all!!
Disneyland is my ‘happy place’ and without it I’m pretty grumpy. So to be back with all of the craziness happening in the world, I felt so happy and very fortunate.
I understand what a privilege it is to be able to go to Disneyland as often as I do and that’s why I love sharing the magic. It brings me so much joy to share my trips because everyone deserves to experience the magic of Disney.
But we’re here to talk about Disney outfits, so let’s get back to that.
This is what I wore to Disneyland in January!

Disneyland Weather in January
The weather in Anaheim, California—home to Disneyland—is noticeably cooler this time of year compared to the rest of the year.
Daytime temperatures typically hover in the mid-60s, but it can dip down to the 40s at night. On average, you can expect highs around 68 degrees and lows around 55 degrees, though some days may feel much colder.
During our visit, the weather reached a high of 65 degrees and dropped to 54 degrees at night. Light rain started around 6:30 PM on the first evening, while the following day brought consistent downpours.
What to Pack for Disneyland in January
If you’re heading to Disneyland in January, be sure to pack a few essentials to stay comfortable. A cozy sweater is a must, along with a lightweight poncho or a compact umbrella in case of rain. Don’t forget your water bottle to stay hydrated and sunscreen to protect your skin—even on cloudy days, Anaheim’s cool weather often comes with plenty of sunshine. I also recommend bringing a hat and sunglasses, as they’re lifesavers for those bright California days.
What do You Wear to Disneyland in January
If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland in January, I highly recommend layering your outfits. You don’t need to bundle up like you’re heading into a snowstorm, but definitely bring a jacket for those chilly nights. There have been times I’ve even thrown on thin gloves to stay cozy.
Pants are always a great choice, but on this trip, I wore tights and shorts under my dress, and it worked perfectly. I paired that with a large coat, which added plenty of warmth.
The key is to wear something comfortable and easy to adjust, especially if you’re moving between indoor and outdoor spaces. And don’t forget close-toed shoes—they’ll keep your feet warm and make a big difference in your comfort throughout the day.
Mickey Mouse Outfit Disneyland
I was beyond excited to wear this outfit to Disneyland. I originally picked up this black denim dress from ASOS and the red Mickey Mouse hat to wear on my Disney Cruise.
They were both perfect for our port day in Nassau.
I wanted to wear them again to Disneyland and had to figure out how to style in a way that matched the cooler weather.
Luckily, I’m obsessed with Disney coats and had this gorgeous black and white one from last year. My cousin and I both picked it up, so we had a fun matching day.
To keep me warm in the cooler weather, I layered some sheer tights and shorts underneath my dress.
My jacket kept me very warm too.
I picked up these black and red bow socks from Forever 21 recently and they went so well with my black platforms, I couldn’t resist wearing them.
For my jewelry, I did a mix of pieces I made and some necklaces I picked up at Disneyland and online.
My bag is from Shanghai Disneyland, when we visited back in August. Surprisingly, they didn’t have a ton of Shanghai Disneyland branded merch, so when I saw this bag I had to jump on it.
My cousin also gifted me the new large Mickey Mouse character tote for my birthday! She had one too, so we get to match again!!
Overall, I loved my outfit for my first trip back to Disneyland and I was super cozy and comfortable the whole day.
