A Star Wars Pop-Up Library Has Landed at Changi Airport
Singapore’s Changi Airport never misses when it comes to cool activations – and their newest one just made my inner Star Wars fan (and Disney Adult) scream.
From August 6, 2025 through January 24, 2026, travelers passing through Terminal 3 will find something completely out of this world: a full Star Wars-themed pop-up library.
If you’ve been to Changi before, you know this airport is basically a destination on its own.
I’ve been twice (with my next trip already planned in a few months!) and I could easily spend an entire afternoon here. Between Jewel Changi with its massive indoor waterfall, the butterfly garden, the shops, and all of the incredible themed pop-ups.
And now? They’ve added Star Wars to the mix.
What’s Inside the Star Wars Pop-Up Library
This isn’t your average library. Nope, this is a galaxy-spanning celebration of stories, fandom, and yes… even droids.
- There are over 2,000 books inside, ranging from kids’ picture books to Star Wars comics, novels, art books, and even cookbooks.
- An automated retrieval system lets you request books from a screen and watch a little robot arm go fetch it for you. It’s like your very own droid librarian.
- Interactive zones mean you can test your Star Wars trivia knowledge, take a Jedi personality quiz, and snap photos against digital backdrops from different planets across the galaxy.
Oh, and yes – you can actually borrow books from this pop-up, just like you would at any National Library in Singapore.
Why This Is So Cool
This is part of the National Library Board’s 30th Anniversary, in partnership with Disney and Changi Airport Group. And it’s the first-ever Star Wars pop-up library in Singapore.
To me, it perfectly captures what I already love about Changi: they’re always surprising travelers with something new and memorable.
When we head back to Singapore, you better believe I’ll be stopping here in Terminal 3 to check it out for myself.
