April was a very casual month for me at the Parks. I enjoyed two relaxing days, one with just my husband and one with our family.
While my outfits may have been casual and relaxed – the parks during April are not.
The beginning of April is still peak Spring Break season, so be prepared.
Actually, I would say it’s always busy at the parks lately. There really isn’t an ‘off season’ anymore because of all the added festivals and themed events.
But Disney has majorly cut back on live performances – this is all irrelevant to what to wear to Disneyland, but I have a lot of thoughts on the subject.
Anyway, let’s get into the Disneyland outfits!

What to Wear to Disneyland in April
April is one of those in-between months at Disneyland. It’s technically spring, but the weather can swing between cool mornings and sunny afternoons. I always recommend layers—think a cute tee or tank with a lightweight jacket or cardigan you can toss in your backpack later.
Lose-fitting jeans, leggings, or comfy shorts (if it’s warm) are great picks. There’s always the go-to outfit that has been popular for a while – bike shorts and an oversized T-shirt. It’s a good idea all year long. But still pack a jacket!
April is also when the flowers around the parks really start to pop, so florals and bright colors are perfect to wear too.
As always, comfy shoes are a must. Don’t let the spring sunshine fool you—it’s still a full walking day.
Tips for Visiting Disneyland in April
Planning your trip to Disneyland in April? Here’s what to know:
The first two weeks are usually busy—lots of families are squeezing in spring break trips. But once that wave passes, the parks tend to mellow out a bit. Mid to late April can be a really nice time to go if you’re hoping for lighter crowds.
April also tends to bring more entertainment offerings, but keep an eye on the schedule because things are constantly changing.
Another thing to keep an eye on is the weather—there can be a random rainy day or two, so I always pack a poncho just in case.
What I Wore to Disneyland in April
Casual Star Wars – Season of the Force Outfit
My first outfit of the month was Star Wars themed – for Season of the Force! I freaking love this season, there’s something about Star Wars that makes me so happy. I just remember watching the movies as a kid and being so in love.
I didn’t do a Star Wars Disneybound or anything but kept it lowkey with a Star Wars shirt and denim shorts.
For my bag, I packed my Star Wars Loungefly backpack. I got this a few years ago for my birthday and always pull it out for Season of the Force.
For accessories, I had on my Star Wars Death Star earrings. I’ve had these for years. I purchased them way back when Galaxy’s Edge first opened. They’re my go-to Star Wars earrings.

Matching Family Disneyland Shirts
Don’t get mad, but I completely did not get a photo of me in the actual matching shirt. 😂
It was pretty cold this day, so I ended up wearing my Spirit Jersey all day.
We planned a full 15-hour day at both parks for this day, so the name of the game is comfort.
I wore my loose-fitting overall shorts with a t-shirt and a Spirit Jersey. I had two bags with me for the day, one backpack for snacks, water, and merch, and then my Disney belt bag for my phone and wallet.
I also had to jazz up the outfit with some colorful giant Mickey ears I made a few years back and my green Monsters University hat.
I love having fun with my outfits!

Disneyland Outfit Planning
April is a great month to visit Disneyland, but you need to be prepared. While you can plan for sunshine, you can also get grey skies and cool weather.
It will still be an enjoyable day, but just plan for all sorts of weather – not easy, I know.
If you have any questions about your outfit, please leave them in the comments. I would love to help you plan for your trip!!
You’re going to have an amazing time, no matter what. Honestly, I would go heavy on planning for all the snacks because Disney always rolls out new goodies for springtime.
Have a great trip!
XOXO,
Julia
