As part of our six-day Disney World adventure to celebrate my 35th birthday, we designated one day as our “rest” day and spent the afternoon in Disney Springs.
For our one big meal together, I wanted to book the perfect spot for all of us and immediately booked a reservation at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’.
We had been here once before and absolutely loved it! I knew it was going to be the perfect spot for a group brunch.
If you want to know all about this restaurant, I’ve included a breakdown of all the details from our brunch here, including some photos and prices.

About Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
Chef Art Smith has cooked for big names and opened restaurants across the country, but he’s always been drawn back to Florida—his true home.
At Homecomin’, he brings us his take on Southern comfort food, like his crispy fried chicken, rich shrimp and grits, and that famous Shine Cake (Oprah’s Favorite!).
Everything is made with fresh, local ingredients from Florida farms, so you can expect bold flavors and seasonal goodness in every bite.

Homecomin’ has an amazing brunch menu. When we visited, we were able to order from the regular menu and the brunch menu. I’ve included images of the menus below.

Review of Brunch at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
We booked our reservation for 10 people at 12:30 PM on a Sunday. They secured a huge round table for us, which we loved because we could all see each other and not have to strain our necks looking down a long table.
This restaurant immediately makes you feel so comfortable and right at home. I know that sounds cheesy but everyone is so friendly.
Our server was named Ariel and it was crazy because I was wearing an Ariel (Little Mermaid) bracelet that day. I had to give it to her because what are the odds?!?!
Ariel was amazing, she had everyone’s food and drinks right out. Everything was perfect, with zero hiccups during the brunch.
We ordered a bunch of appetizers to get us started and a round of drinks. We had a good mix of food and drinks.
To start with we ordered, Church Lady Deviled Eggs, Bunch of Puppies, and the Bee Haven Bay Fried Green Tomatoes.
I can’t stress how good these appetizers are. I can eat them as my meal. Everyone was obsessed with the pimento dip for the hush puppies and the fried green tomatoes were gone in an instant.
To drink, I had the Florida Crush. I had two. I absolutely loved it. And it was my birthday, I was celebrating! Hahaha
For our meals, we all kind of had the same things. My husband and I ordered the Fried Chicken Salad (a must-try!) and the Short Rib Hash.
Some other popular items ordered were the Hallelujah Biscuit and the Southern Poutine.
We devoured the food. No crumbs left. 10/10 experience.
And for my birthday, they even brought out a slice of their famous Shine Cake! It was like a banana vanilla bean cake. It was perfection. Super moist and not overly sweet.
Overall Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
How could I not give this restaurant five stars? The staff, the food and the experience were all amazing.
We have a layover in Orlando in a few months and we already made reservations at Chef Art’s Homecomin’ for lunch – because I really need to eat here again.
This was a great brunch for a group, even a group of 10. We absolutely loved it here and will be back!
