Family-owned Calaca Mamas Cantina brings a whole lot of flavor to Anaheim. Angela & Mariam El Haj are second-generation restauranteurs and no strangers to running a restaurant. For this location, they wanted to bring a lot of culture and craft cocktails to the Anaheim neighborhood.
Opening earlier this year, Calaca Mamas Cantina has already created quite a stir. After binge-watching tons of videos on TikTok about the restaurant, we finally visited during our last Disneyland trip.
The restaurant location was previously Captain Kidd’s Buffet, a local family-style restaurant aimed at Disneyland vacationers. The new Calaca Mamas Cantina is locally owned and family-themed but aimed at more of a wider audience. From classic Mexican food to craft cocktails, Calaca Mamas Cantina hits all the right notes.

Calaca Mamas Cantina is located across the street from Disneyland on Harbor Blvd. It is just across the main transportation center and easily walkable from the parks.
Calaca Mamas Parking
Calaca Mamas shares parking with the Best Western Plus Park Place Inn which is located next door to the restaurant. Guests dining at Calaca Mamas can get 2.5 hours free with validation.

About Calaca Mamas Cantina
Calaca Mamas Cantina was inspired by Mexican culture and the beautiful Dia de Los Muertos traditions. The restaurant brings in vibrant colors and a beautiful altar at the front entrance featuring photos of the El Haj family.
Calaca Mamas partnered with local artists from Splatterhaus to create one-of-a-kind pieces for their dining room.

Calaca Mamas is serving elegantly presented traditional Mexican and Mexican-American dishes. Their craft cocktails were loved by everyone in our group and the rice and beans are addicting!
There are a ton of places to eat near Disneyland and I recommend trying Calaca Mamas for a convenient location, a great spot to catch the fireworks, and strong drinks.
