Knott’s Scary Farm is 50 years old! How is that even possible?!?! And how have my parents never told me about adventures of going to Knott’s Scary Farm?!?!
I don’t actually know if they’ve ever been but can you imagine!?!
Since 1973, the Knott’s Family has been hosting Knott’s Scary Farm, previously called Knott’s Halloween Haunt.
It started off by the amazing marketing team and entertainment office pitching a 3-day event to Operations and it ended up being a hit! And it was the idea of the the original Log Ride designer, Bud Hurlbut, to dress up in a gorilla costume and scare guests!
I love finding out about theme park history. Everything was so simple and less of a huge production and it still worked and brought people back year after year.
Fast forward 50 years and we now have Knott’s Scary Farm and this year is sure to be it’s biggest and scariest year yet!
This post is all about the 50th anniversary of Knott’s Scary Farm in 2023.
As Knott’s rings in 50 years of nightmares at this year’s event, you know you can expect a good time.
With 10 mazes, 5 scare zones and endless snack options, Knott’s isn’t holding anything back.
