Halloween might just be gearing up, but in Las Vegas, the ‘Christmas scaries’ are just getting started.
Universal Horror Unleashed, which opened back in August, is already going all-out for its first holiday season – and the theme could not be more perfect: Krampus & Kin.
From November 15, 2025, through January 3, 2026, the nightmares get a festive twist with creepy legends from winter folklore. You’ll still face the four relentless haunted houses – Universal Monsters, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scarecrow: The Reaping, and Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer – but now the whole place will be dressed in sinister holiday spirit.
What’s New for the Holidays
- Krampus & Friends: Meet (or run from) Krampus, Grýla the child-snatching Icelandic troll, and other frightful winter legends.
- Festive Photo Ops: Get your picture with these terrifying holiday icons. (Perfect for the Christmas card you really want to send.)
- Fiendish Food & Drinks: Sip on twisted holiday cocktails and bite into treats with a wicked twist.
- Processional of Horrors: A nightly march of monstrous beings to make your season merry—and absolutely terrifying.
Why I’m So Excited
Horror Unleashed just debuted in August, and I love that they’re not wasting any time rolling out fresh seasonal overlays. This being the very first holiday event, it feels like the ultimate mash-up of Halloween and Christmas. And Krampus is such a perfect fit for this vibe. Creepy, campy, and absolutely on theme.

If you haven’t been yet, Universal Horror Unleashed is a year-round horror attraction at AREA15 in Las Vegas. It features four massive haunted houses, immersive horror zones with live entertainment, themed bars and dining, and a terrifyingly fun atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.
