If you’re visiting Disneyland this year, you’ll want to experience this new and spooky “secret” entrance into the Haunted Mansion.

So, What is the secret entrance at the Haunted Mansion?
The secret entrance, known by Disney cast members as the servant’s entrance, opened to guests when Disneyland reopened its gates after its closure for almost a year due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. The secret entrance takes guests from the side of the house directly to the hallway and the “doom buggies.”
It’s a passageway not normally seen or used by visiting guests, making it a top Disneyland bucket list item.
How to use the Servants Entrance:
The entrance is located next to the old FastPass distribution area. There is a gate to the left side of the house near the old FastPass booths that leads to the side of the house and around the normal line.
You don’t need a special pass to use this entrance, you just need to be there on a day when it’s open or if you find a nice cast member to let you and your group in.
The key to anything at Disney is to be nice and treat everyone with respect, so if you see the line to the servant’s entrance is open, be nice to the cast members – don’t demand to use it.
Once you get through the gate you will be instructed to knock on the door to notify the other people in the house let you in. From there, you will go down a flight of stairs and a walkway with Haunted Mansion portraits and flickering lights. The passageway leads you directly to the hallway that you would normally enter after you take the elevator.

Overall, it was a really special experience for our group. We’ve been going to Disneyland together for years and that was a first for us.
