Nothing, and I mean nothing, can replace the magic of Disney. That’s why we’re so excited Disneyland has announced its plans to celebrate its 70th Anniversary in 2025! 

The 70th Anniversary ‘party’ kicks off May 16, 2025, and promises over a year of unforgettable magic, joy, and nostalgia.

A Year-Long Party to Celebrate 70 Years of Happiness

Starting May 16, 2025, and continuing through the summer of 2026, Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration will “celebrate happy” in grand style. Expect stunning décor throughout the resort, including a shimmering medallion on Sleeping Beauty Castle. 

Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with their pals, will don brand-new celebratory outfits in Town Square, making for some truly magical photo opportunities.

Nighttime Spectaculars and Parades to Light Up Your Evenings

Disney fans, get ready to dance—your favorite nighttime shows and parades are making a dazzling comeback!

• “Paint the Night” Parade: This fan-favorite returns to Disneyland Park with over a million LED lights, vibrant floats, and unforgettable music.
• “Wondrous Journeys” Nighttime Spectacular: Enhanced with fireworks on select nights, this show will light up the Disneyland sky with magic and wonder.
• “World of Color – Happiness!”: A brand-new nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure celebrates Walt Disney’s timeless words: “To all who come to this happy place, welcome!”
• New Projection Show: Look for a special anniversary projection show illuminating the façade of “It’s a small world.”

Exclusive Entertainment for the Celebration

• A brand-new character cavalcade will debut at Disneyland, spreading joy throughout the park.
• Over at Carthay Circle in California Adventure, a special light-and-projection moment invites guests to celebrate happy every evening.
• The high-energy parade “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” returns, bringing beloved Pixar characters back to the streets of California Adventure.

Specialty Food, Drinks, and Merchandise

No Disney celebration is complete without themed treats and keepsakes! And you know Disney is going to go all out for this celebration. 

There will be exclusive snacks and merchandise around both parks (that I’m sure will sell out instantly).
