Disneyland is turning 70, and the celebration starts soon! The event kicks off May 16, 2025, running all the way through summer 2026—so there’s plenty of time to soak up all the magic!
We’ve been getting snippets of news but now Disney just dropped exciting new details, so let’s get into everything coming to Disneyland Resort for this milestone celebration.
Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration: Things to do
A New Theme Song: Celebrate Happy
Get ready to hear an all-new Disneyland anthem, Celebrate Happy, throughout the parks. And speaking of music…
A New World of Color—with Boyz II Men and The Muppets!
We already knew a brand-new World of Color show was coming to Disney California Adventure, but now we know Boyz II Men will be singing a special rendition of Rainbow Connection! And to make it even better, The Muppets will be making an appearance before the show. (We NEED more Muppets in the parks—this is huge!)
Paint the Night Parade is BACK!
YES, the fan-favorite nighttime parade is finally returning, and Anna and Elsa are officially re-joining the lineup! This parade always gives me major nostalgia—it’s pure magic.
Duffy and ShellieMay Join the Fun!
For the first time, Duffy and ShellieMay will be part of an all-new cavalcade: The “Celebrate Happy” Cavalcade!
A Fully Decked-Out Disneyland Resort
New concept art shows every corner of the parks will be glowing with 70th-anniversary decorations. If you love Disney’s signature celebration overlays, this one looks like it’s going to be absolutely stunning.
Miguel & Dante Join it’s a small world
Starting April 2025, Miguel and Dante from Coco will be joining the Mexico section of it’s a Small World! A beautiful marigold bridge will also be added to their scene.
Toy Story Midway Mania Gets a 70th Anniversary Overlay!
A brand-new overlay is coming to Toy Story Midway Mania—this will be the first time the ride has ever had a special celebration makeover!
70th Anniversary Merch is a MUST!
From new ears, spirit jerseys, and bags to vibrant, colorful designs that scream celebration, there’s no shortage of limited-edition merch. I still have my 50th and 60th anniversary ears, so I need to add the 70th anniversary ears to my collection!
