We’re back, baby!! It’s time for another year of haunts, screams, and getting lost in the fog. Spooky season is our group’s favorite time of year. We love doing all the Halloween festivities together, especially Horror Nights.
This year is no different. We had a group of 9 spooky friends and we all got in the spirit and picked out fun outfits for Halloween Horror Nights.
Our home park is Universal Studios Hollywood. Most of us went to Universal Orlando together back in February, and we’ve reunited for some hauntingly good fun in Hollywood.
There’s so much magic in old Hollywood. It already feels spooky. Especially because we stayed in a vintage Hollywood motel that wreaked of Old Hollywood glamour and vintage Horror Movies.
Our hotel felt just like the studio tour where you see Hitchcock’s old office. It reminded me so much of the bungalows the Stars would stay in while filming. I loved it!
But let’s get back to the outfits, that’s what we’re all here for.

What to Wear to Halloween Horror Nights
Get in the Spirit
Halloween Horror Nights is all about immersing yourself in the spooky atmosphere, so why not dress the part? Whether you’re a horror fanatic or just love Halloween, throw on a shirt from your favorite scary movie or TV show. This is the time to represent classic franchises like Halloween, The Exorcist, or even Stranger Things. These themed shirts not only get you in the mood but also show off your fandom!
‘Bound’ as a Character
You don’t need a full costume to get into character. Try ‘bounding’—a Disney-inspired concept where you use regular clothes to resemble a movie character. Channel your inner Michael Myers with a navy jumpsuit or dress in all-black to give off those mysterious, slasher vibes. It’s subtle, stylish, and keeps you comfortable while walking around the park all night.
Go Grunge or Witchy
Lean into the spooky aesthetic with grunge or witchy styles! Think ripped jeans, flannel shirts, and combat boots for a laid-back grunge look. For something witchy, try long flowing layers, wide-brimmed hats, and dark colors. Both styles are perfect for staying comfortable yet stylish while navigating through haunted houses.
Prioritize Comfort
Halloween Horror Nights means lots of walking, waiting in lines, and navigating dark, crowded areas. Wear comfy shoes—sneakers or sturdy boots are your best bet. And don’t forget to check the weather! If it’s going to be chilly, layer up with a jacket you can easily tie around your waist if needed.

Enjoy the Horror, Stay Safe
Getting into the Halloween spirit at Horror Nights is half the fun. Whether you’re bounding as your favorite character, going all-out with themed shirts, or keeping it casual in grunge style, make sure you’re comfortable and ready for the night. Stay safe by sticking with your group and respecting the cast members and scare actors—you’re there to have fun, and so are they!
Finally, remember: the key to a great night is going with a good group, staying organized, and savoring the spooky vibes! Happy haunting, and don’t forget—it’s all in good fun! 👻
See you in the fog!
XOXO,
Julia
