A new cosmic expansion launches March 6, 2026, bringing immersive rides, galactic play areas, and interactive LEGO fun to the Carlsbad theme park.
LEGOLAND California is preparing to launch something truly out of this world in 2026.
The resort just announced LEGO® Galaxy, a brand-new space-themed land that will open on March 6, 2026, ushering in imaginative play zones, merchandise, and its very first indoor family coaster in over 20 years.
A Cosmic New Land for LEGO Fans
LEGO Galaxy is an entirely new area of LEGOLAND California Resort inspired by a space universe.
This is one of the resort’s most ambitious expansions to date, blending immersive storytelling with playful interactivity for families to enjoy together.
At the heart of LEGO Galaxy is Galacticoaster – an indoor family coaster that invites riders to blast off on a space mission through the stars.
While similar versions of the coaster will also debut at LEGOLAND Florida earlier in the year, California’s version is part of a larger themed land, complete with extra rides and interactive experiences.
More Fun Beyond the Coaster
LEGOLAND California’s LEGO Galaxy includes more than just the coaster. Families will find:
- Additional rides tailored to different ages and thrill levels
- Junior Astronaut Training Zones – play areas for younger kids to burn off energy
- Themed dining and snack spots with cosmic-inspired menus
- Retail experiences offering galactic gear and souvenirs
The land is designed to mix hands-on play with classic LEGO charm and space exploration themes, so it feels fun and accessible for guests of all ages.
When to Go and What to Know
LEGO Galaxy opens on March 6, 2026, just in time for spring break and early vacation planning. Annual passholders have opportunities for early preview access, making it a great perk if you’re a frequent visitor to the Carlsbad resort.
Whether you’re a local looking for a new seasonal adventure or planning your next family trip, the launch of LEGO Galaxy promises a fresh way to experience LEGOLAND California.
