đŹ Lights, Camera… Splash Zone!?
Universal Studios Hollywood just dropped the script for Mega Movie Summer, and trust meâitâs not just a cameo. Itâs a full-on blockbuster event.Â
Starting June 13, 2025, the park is rolling out the red carpet for a summer-long celebration of iconic Universal films. It runs until August 10, so thereâs plenty of time to get your summer sequel in.
Letâs run through the highlightsâpopcorn not required, but highly recommended.
Jurassic World Rebirth Takes the Spotlight đŚ
If you thought the dinosaurs were done roaring, think again. Jurassic WorldâThe Ride is getting a major upgrade to coincide with the upcoming Jurassic World: Rebirth movie (in theaters July 2). Expect:
- Mosasaurus Splash: That final drop is about to get a lot more splash-tacular with added geysers and some serious roar power.
- New Dino Encounters: An adorable dino from the new film joins Blue, Juliet, and Baby Tango for daily guest interactions.
- Spinosaurus Photo Op: Snap a pic with one of the biggest stars of the franchise.
- Scavenger Hunt: Track down the tiny but mighty Compy around the park.
And donât worryâJurassic CafĂŠ and Isla Nubar have your cravings covered with dino-inspired bites and cocktails like The Jurassic Water Rebirth and Spicy Jurassic Paradise. Cue the John Williams theme music.
Jaws Turns 50, and Weâre Gonna Need a Bigger Summer đŚ
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jaws, Universal is pulling out all the nautical stops:
- The hanging shark photo op is back for all your âI survived Amity Islandâ selfies.
- Captain Quint and Chief Brody are ready to say hello (and maybe give you some shark-fighting advice).
- Over at Hollywood & Dine, now transformed into Amity Island CafĂŠ, you can chow down on menu items like Shark Fin Funnel Cake and sip The Shark Bite cocktail.
- And yes, the Studio Tour is getting in on the actionâwatch out for a festive Jaws Lake with a Fourth of July twist.
Back to the Future Turns 40 â°
Great Scott! The Time Machine is parked on the Upper Lot for photos, and Doc, Marty, and Einstein are all on hand to say hey.Â
Plus, Melâs Diner is still serving up those time-travel-themed eats like the Flux Capacitor Patty Melt and Wake Up Juice Cocktail. Time travel never tasted so good.
Meet Some New Facesâand Some Furry Legends đâ¨
- Toothless the dragon is flying into Universal Plaza just in time for How to Train Your Dragon (live-action, June 13). Thereâs a giant Toothless, themed snacks, and yesâhe has his own popcorn bucket.
- Wicked fans, youâre not left out. Elphaba and Glinda will be stepping out to greet guests near the colorful Wicked photo op. Itâs your chance to defy gravity with a selfie.
Fast & Curious đđ
As work continues on the upcoming Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster, guests can get an early peek at one of the ride vehiclesâa Dodge Charger straight from Dom Torettoâs garage. Vin Diesel not included.
Bonus Features at CityWalk đ
Just outside the gates, CityWalk is getting in on the Mega Movie action:
- Voodoo Doughnut is serving up themed treats like the âDoughnut Go In the Waterâ (hello, Jaws) and dino-inspired goodies.
- The Five Towers Stage will be bumping all summer long with DJs and live performances.
- Pop into the Universal Studios Store and Cartooniversal for new merch tied to the Mega Movie lineup.
This Summerâs Plot Twist?
It’s not just about rides and foodâitâs a Party in the Park! From DJ dance parties at night to carnival-style games and scavenger hunts during the day, Mega Movie Summer is bringing nonstop action to every corner of the park.
