Disneyland Unveils New Holiday Magic for 2024: Meet Santa & Friends, Embark on Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail, and Enjoy Fresh Festivities at Disney California Adventure!
It’s that time again—Disneyland is transforming into a holiday wonderland! From November 15, 2024, through January 6, 2025, the Disneyland Resort will be decked out with festive decorations, enchanting entertainment, and seasonal surprises to make this season unforgettable.
And this year, they’re adding two brand-new activities to the mix, bringing even more holiday cheer to the whole family.
New Holiday Experiences at Disneyland 2024
NEW! Holiday Fun with Santa & Friends at Fantasyland Theatre
Step into the spirit of the season at Fantasyland Theatre, where Santa himself will be meeting and greeting with some beloved Disney friends! This new experience is all about creating special memories—decorate cookies, make seasonal crafts, and sing along to holiday songs as you celebrate with characters like Chip, Dale, Goofy, and Pluto*. It’s a cozy, cheerful way to get into the holiday spirit and perfect for families wanting to create festive keepsakes together!

NEW! Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail at Downtown Disney District
Kicking off on November 22 and running through January 1, 2025, Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail invites you on a scavenger hunt adventure! Families can join the fun by picking up a map and stickers for $9.99 at select Downtown Disney and Disneyland Resort hotels. Then, it’s time to hunt for character-themed ornaments hidden in holiday trees throughout Downtown Disney District! It’s a fantastic way to add some playful cheer to your visit. And the best part? Once you’ve completed the hunt (or even if you decide to skip it), you can return your map to a redemption location for a special holiday keepsake.
Here’s how to join the Ornament Trail:
- Grab Your Map and Stickers: Available at select Downtown Disney and hotel gift shops like World of Disney, Disney’s Pin Traders, and STOR-E.
- Search and Stick: Keep your eyes peeled for ornaments in the trees and place the corresponding sticker on your map.
- Claim Your Keepsake: Return your map to World of Disney or Disney’s Pin Traders and pick up a special holiday souvenir!
Whether you complete the search or just enjoy the holiday decor, it’s a great way to get in on some festive fun without a theme park ticket.
And that’s not all—there are two new shows lighting up Disney California Adventure this year!
NEW! Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season
Catch Mirabel from Encanto outside Paradise Gardens Park on Mondays through Fridays, where she’ll celebrate Fiesta de Navidad with songs from the film. This heartwarming show is sure to be a hit for fans of all ages!
NEW! A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel
On Buena Vista Street in the evenings, Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland will be performing timeless Christmas songs in a cozy, bilingual celebration. The show wraps up with a beautiful song led by Miguel from Coco. This is the perfect way to cap off a holiday evening at Disney California Adventure! (Available Monday – Friday)
Celebrate the Season Your Way!
Along with new festivities, Disneyland Resort is bringing back holiday favorites that make the season feel extra magical! From A Christmas Fantasy Parade to nightly snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., there’s plenty of cheer to go around. Disney California Adventure will host its lively Festival of Holidays and the beloved Viva Navidad Street Party, adding even more sparkle with diverse performances and delicious seasonal treats.
