If your idea of fall fun includes dodging chainsaws, wandering through radioactive wastelands, and questioning your life choices in the fog-filled dark… then congratulations, you’re exactly where you need to be.
Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) is BACK at Universal Studios Hollywood, and 2025 is already shaping up to be one of the most intense seasons yet!
We’re talking haunted houses, the Terror Tram, themed drinks, and a whole lot of screams. Let’s break down what we know so far — and why you should start planning now.
Event Dates & Ticket Info
HHN 2025 runs on select nights from September 4 through November 2.
This is a separately ticketed event – and popular nights sell out fast. So don’t wait around to grab yours!
Tickets are officially on sale now, and there’s something for every level of thrill-seeker:
- General Admission
- 2 p.m. Day/Night Combo
- Universal Express & Express Unlimited
- Frequent Fear Pass
- Ultimate Fear Pass
- RIP Tour (aka the ultimate VIP nightmare experience)
- Early Access Tickets to beat the crowds (and maybe scream a little earlier)
Confirmed Haunted Houses So Far
We’re only a few announcements in, but HHN is already delivering iconic horror on a silver (blood-stained) platter. Here’s what’s been confirmed:
☢️ Fallout
We’ve got confirmation on the first haunted house of the season, and it’s a big one:
FALLOUT – based on the hit video game and show.
This post-apocalyptic maze throws you straight into the chaos of a nuked-out LA.
You’ll start in the vaults, dodge raiders with Lucy, face off with The Ghoul, and maybe even witness the towering T-60 power armor of the Brotherhood of Steel. (Maximus, is that you?!)
It’s gritty, it’s immersive, and it’s exactly what we’d expect from HHN: adrenaline-pumping, lore-packed horror.
🔪 Jason Universe (Just announced – on Friday the 13th, of course)
That’s right — Jason Voorhees is slashing his way into HHN 2025 at Universal Studios Hollywood in a brand-new haunted house inspired by the Friday the 13th franchise.
In Jason Universe, you’ll retrace his gruesome legacy through the summer camp where it all started — from the eerie main lodge to the shadowy forest trails and that creaky, chilling cabin. Every step brings you face-to-face with some of Jason’s most infamous kills, as he stalks his prey in true slasher style.
If you thought you knew the legend, this haunted house is here to prove you very, very wrong.
What Else to Expect
While we’re only two mazes in, we already know eight haunted houses are coming, and if past years are any indicator, these will be wildly creative, deeply detailed, and downright terrifying. (More announcements coming soon — I’ll be updating this page as we hear more.)
Here’s what else we know to expect:
- The Terror Tram: Classic HHN chaos meets the Universal backlot.
- Scare Zones: You’re never safe, even walking between mazes.
- Themed food & drinks: Expect Halloween cocktails and spooky snacks.
- Entertainment: Shows and live performances throughout the night.
- Merch: Limited-edition shirts, pins, mugs, and horror collectibles you didn’t know you needed.
Age Warning & Costume Policy
A quick reminder:
HHN is not for the faint of heart. It’s not recommended for anyone under 13. Also: no costume masks allowed — check the official policy before you plan your look.
The Finale
Halloween Horror Nights is the Halloween event in SoCal, hands down. Whether you’re there for the jump scares, the lore-heavy mazes, the ghastly themed cocktails — or just to watch your friends scream louder than you — it’s a night (or several) to remember.
So which maze are you most excited about this year? And who’s brave enough to do the RIP Tour with you?
