This month I had two different kinds of Disney trips. The first, a beautiful solo day at Disneyland. I love my solo Disney days. Give me a good book and a Cocoa Puffs Cold Brew, and I’m set.
The second kind of Disney day was a family day. An epic family day.
Both trips required different planning, but both trips turned out great!
This post is all about what to wear to Disneyland in November.
November is especially magical at the Disney Parks. The holiday décor is up, the castle is frosty and ready for Christmas, and everything just feels extra cozy.
So, let’s dive in and check out all the tips for going to Disneyland in November.

What to Wear to Disneyland in November
November weather in Southern California is… unpredictable. Yes, it’s technically fall, but t-shirts and shorts are still totally fine during the day. At the same time, sweatshirts and pants also make sense. You can kind of do whatever until we hit true winter.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Daytime can be warm, evenings get chilly
- Layers are your best friend
- Always bring a jacket for nighttime
If you’re doing a full park day, comfortable shoes are non-negotiable. I’m also a big fan of packing a second pair if you’re staying nearby.
Switching shoes at night can save your feet. Cute sneakers during the day, then running shoes, Uggs, or something ultra-comfy once the sun goes down.
If you’re doing a shorter day like I often do, cute but sensible shoes are perfect. Just make sure you can stand in long lines and walk a lot without hating your life.
Bottom line: wear what you love, but plan for cooler nights.
What to Pack for Disneyland in November
Layers, layers, layers. Evenings get cold quickly.
I still pack my usual park essentials:
- water
- snacks
- portable phone charger
- SPF (yes, even in November)
- pain reliever
- hat or sunglasses
The weather is actually really pleasant this time of year, but the sun is still strong and the days are long – always better to be prepared.
Tips for Going to Disneyland in November
November is busy. Holiday crowds are no joke.
A few tips that help:
- Start early
- Take a midday break if you can
- Come with a loose plan for food and rides
There’s so much fun holiday food, so it helps to know what you really want to try. If you’re doing a full day and want to hit rides, Lightning Lane is worth considering during the holidays.
Nighttime is my favorite. Don’t miss the snowfall on Main Street – ask a Cast Member for timing. And try to slow down and enjoy the lights and décor, even when it’s crowded. Disneyland during the holidays is chaotic, but it’s also really beautiful.
What I Wore to Disneyland in November
Star Wars Outfit
- Disney Paris Star Wars shirt
- ASOS maxi circle skirt
- Kandi bracelets
- Hong Kong Disneyland tote
- Black Platform Converse
I had this outfit in my head the second I bought the shirt. We visited Disneyland Paris in September, and I found the cutest Star Wars tee that I immediately knew I wanted to style in a more girly way.

I originally planned to use my Star Wars bag, but I couldn’t find it, so I went with my Hong Kong Disneyland tote – a gift my husband picked up for me on a recent work trip. It worked perfectly.

The maxi circle skirt is from ASOS and one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I love the length, the drama, and how versatile the pattern is. That said, I was very aware of how long it was while walking around Disneyland. It was fine for rides, but next time I’d either wear higher platforms or choose a slightly shorter skirt – I just didn’t love it brushing the ground.

I added my usual bracelets and accessories and called it a day. Comfortable, fun, and very me.

Cousin Day Holiday Outfit
- Black denim shorts
- Disneyland holiday shirt
- Red shag jacket
- Red sneakers
- Vera Bradley Mickey Quilted Crossbody
- DIY accessories
This was my official holiday outfit of the season – and one of my favorite Disney days ever!
We did a giant cousin Disney day, and it was pure joy. Laughing, snacking, walking, repeating. A full 15-hour Disney day.

Comfort was the priority, but I still wanted to lean into the holiday theme. My black denim shorts are a go-to for long park days, and I paired them with my Disneyland holiday shirt from last year. The red shag jacket, red sneakers, and festive accessories tied it all together.

I kept my bag smaller since it was such a long day and didn’t want to carry anything heavy. The outfit held up all day – my hair did not (my hair tie snapped mid-day), but that’s just part of the Disney experience.

Oh!! And I also made a ton of bracelets to share with the fam!! It was so much fun to have everyone wear their bracelets. I love my cousins so much!!
