Let’s dive into another Anaheim hotel. Staying at an off-site hotel can save you hundreds of dollars on your Disneyland vacation. There are tons of hotels in the area within different price ranges, you’re sure to find one that fits what you’re looking for.
This post was originally written in April 2020, at the original time of posting the hotel was the Red Lion Hotel but has since been renamed Hotel LuLu.
This post is all about the Red Lion Hotel in Anaheim, a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel.
We booked our stay at the Red Lion hotel for a girls weekend at Disneyland. We had three adults in the room and it fit us all perfectly.
Booking the hotel always takes a bit of time but after researching the location, we decided to try it out. It was our first time staying here and we always enjoy staying at new hotels. We booked our room through hotels.com for this trip – and most trips we take to Disneyland.

Personal Thoughts
I loved how close the Red Lion was to the parks. We walked each time and skipped the ART Bus. It’s a 2 block walk and there are a few convenience stores on the way so it’s nice to stop in and grab a snack or a bottle of water before heading into Disneyland.
The parking was easy and there was a lot of it. We parked right next to the entrance of the building where our room was. We were also on the first floor – another plus.
There isn’t an ice machine on the first floor and the one on the second floor wasn’t working. The hallways and elevators seemed pretty old and in need of fresh paint. (These may have been updated with the hotel rebrand as the Hotel Lulu.)
The pool was nice and they had tables and lounge chairs out for guests. There was also a nice walk-up bar available that was connected to the main dining room.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a microwave and mini-fridge. Everything worked just as it should in the room – no weird noises or broken items.
I really liked the hotel, they need a bit more updating in the rooms and hallways but for the price and location – you can’t beat it!
