The Singapore Flyer was one of the very first things I did on my Singapore trip, and honestly – it was the perfect way to start the morning. It’s very similar to the London Eye or the Las Vegas High Roller, but with those iconic Marina Bay views that make Singapore feel so futuristic and magical.
I was staying at the Pan Pacific Hotel, and the Singapore Flyer was a super easy walk from there. If you’re staying anywhere around Marina Bay, it’s convenient and totally worth adding to your itinerary.
Here’s everything you need to know before visiting!
Booking Tickets

I booked my ticket right at the self-service kiosk on-site.
There were multiple ticket options, so an attendant helped me choose the right one – very easy, very quick.
A standard adult ticket is SGD 40, and a child ticket is SGD 25.
They also offer:
- Private capsules
- Dining capsules
- Specialty experiences
Go Early

I went right when they opened on a weekday morning, and it was empty. Because there were so few people, each group got their own gondola.
So yes… I had an entire huge gondola to myself.
It was incredible and peaceful.
If you want that same experience, go early.

The Pre-Show Experience

Before you board, you walk through a short, interactive exhibit with projection art and lights. It’s a cute little bonus – immersive, colorful, and fun.
At the end of the exhibit, you walk straight to the loading platform.

The Singapore Flyer Ride

The full rotation takes about 30 minutes, which I loved because you really get time to soak in the views.
From the top, you can see:
- Marina Bay Sands
- The Helix Bridge
- The ArtScience Museum
- Supertree Grove
- The Bay
- Merlion Park
- Everything!
It’s calm and slow-moving, so it’s great for anyone who loves sightseeing without rushing.

Perfect First Activity of the Day

For me, riding the Singapore Flyer in the morning was perfect because:
- It wasn’t crowded
- It wasn’t hot yet
- The lighting was gorgeous
- It helped me get a sense of the whole Marina Bay area before exploring it

It’s a great way to start your day before heading to:
- The Helix Bridge
- Marina Bay Sands
- ArtScience Museum
- Gardens by the Bay & the Supertrees
You can literally spend the entire day in this area.
Who This Experience Is Good For

Honestly? Almost everyone.
- Solo travelers – peaceful and great for photos
- Families – super safe and kid-friendly
- Couples – very cute date activity
- Groups – fun and easy
Plus, the capsules are air-conditioned, which is perfect in Singapore’s humidity.
Visiting the Singapore Flyer

The Singapore Flyer is such an easy, relaxing, scenic experience, and a great way to kick off your trip. It’s simple, beautiful, and gives you a full 360° view of the city without any stress.
If you’re staying around Marina Bay or already planning to visit the nearby attractions, definitely add it to your itinerary.
XOXO,
Julia
