It’s no secret that Las Vegas is one of the premier destinations for those looking to let loose and have a good time. Vegas pool parties, in particular, are a great way to experience the city in a unique way. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, a bachelor or bachelorette party, or just want to let loose for the weekend, a Vegas dayclub is something not to miss. However, before you head out for a day of fun and sun, there are a few things you should know.
This post is about tips for Las Vegas Pool Parties and Dayclubs.
First things first, Las Vegas has coined the term “day club” or dayclub. Please note that dayclubs or beach clubs are large pool parties thrown at Las Vegas Hotels that require a separate ticket. You don’t have to stay at the hotel to attend a Las Vegas pool party but you will need to pay an entry fee or get on a guest list.
Don’t be intimidated by getting on a “guest list”, women will most likely be approached by promoters as they walk about the Strip or their hotel or you can find a Vegas promoter online to get you on a list. Most of the time, it can be pretty easy for groups of women to get on the guest list for a Vegas dayclub. Men, not so much. If there is a good ratio of men to women, they might be able to get in at a discounted rate but Vegas usually charges guys full price.

Research the right Vegas Dayclub for Your Group
Research is always the number one step. There are different levels of dayclubs in Las Vegas and they can vary greatly in price, service, cleanliness, and ambiance. Some dayclubs play exclusively EDM music and work with the top DJs. Other dayclubs play hiphop and others are more of a sports bar feel and have games, TVs and some background music.
Research how much your group is willing to spend for entry, drinks, seating, etc. It’s always best if everyone is on the same page. Read reviews online or check out TikTok to get a feeling of the vibe at the dayclub.
How much do Vegas dayclubs cost?
Vegas is pricey and they can get away with it because they’re Vegas. Each pool party or dayclub will vary in price. Ticket prices will be listed online but you can also try to get on a guest list to avoid paying a fee.
To sit at a dayclub, meaning to grab a chair or a lounge chair, you will have to pay. An individual lounge chair can easily be $200. A cabana is in the thousands of dollars. Peak weekends and holidays are always more expensive. Off-weekends or during the week is A LOT cheaper but vacations are usually a weekend thing…so prepare yourself for the prices.
This takes me back to research. If you can get complimentary entry into a top Dayclub then maybe you don’t mind buying drinks or renting a daybed. Look at prices and even if you don’t book ahead, ask when you get there. Maybe they can get you a better price if it’s a slow day or it’s later in the day.
Vegas dayclubs charge for water. Water is not free. You must hydrate in the Vegas sun especially if you’re drinking alcohol. You can’t bring in water so please be aware and bring cash or your card to purchase it there.
If you’re not purchasing a lounge chair, daybed or cabana you may want to rent a locker. Lockers will vary in price depending on the weekend. They can be $50 sometimes, so please plan ahead.
On our last trip we went to the Flamingo GO Pool (my personal favorite) and we were able to bring in a drybag. We put all of our phones and wallets and could have it with us at the pool and it got soaked and nothing got ruined.
What to wear to a Vegas dayclub
The dress code at Vegas dayclubs varies by location. Typically, most Vegas dayclubs are upscale pool parties that require a stylish pool outfit. Sneakers, jeans, or bulky clothes are not allowed at Vegas dayclubs. Stick to wearing a nice swimsuit with a cute cover-up, a dress, or even nice shorts with a cute top. Remember, most dayclubs are located within hotels, so you will need to be fully clothed when you enter. You can’t walk around the casino floor in your swimsuit only, so wear appropriate attire.
For men, a shirt over their swim shorts will do. No large chains or excessive jewelry is allowed – for men and women. This is a pool, so safety is still key. Avoid wearing stiletto heels and if you don’t want to wear flats, wear some small wedges or platforms.
While some people dress super fancy and purchase expensive swim attire, you don’t NEED to do that. Dress how you feel comfortable but remember you do need to look a bit nicer than just going to the regular resort pool.
Essential Items to Take To a Vegas Dayclub
What to pack for a Vegas dayclub? Here are the top items you will need:
- Pack a dry bag
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Pack sandals
- ID
Pack your ID, you will have it checked upon entry. Pick up a drybag too to keep your personal items in while you’re in the pool without worrying about ruining them in the water. Sunglasses and hats are great to have to keep the Vegas sun off you and always wear sunscreen to keep from burning. Towels will be provided at the pool but wear some nice sandals or flats and avoid stiletto heels.
What Can You Not Take Into a Vegas Dayclub
There are a number of items you can’t take into a Vegas dayclub like, liquids, pills, and of course weapons. This means no water, no eye drops, and no liquids of any sort. No pills like vitamins or medication. If you pack medication it must be one dose or possibly not even that. If you take medication and will need to take it while you’re at the pool party, call ahead to confirm you can bring it in.
There is security at every pool club and they will check your entire bag and have you empty your pockets.
Here is a list of items not allowed in Vegas pool clubs:
- No baggy clothes
- No streetwear
- No sneakers
- No gum
- No mints
- No nasal spray
- No jeans, pants, or sweatpants
- No selfie sticks

Vegas pool parties are fun to experience and a great activity you should absolutely add to your Vegas bucket list. Just make sure to do your research ahead of time and know the rules of the venue in order to ensure that you have a great time.
