Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass Tips
1. Purchase Your Express Pass Early
Universal Express Passes can sell out quickly, especially for popular nights. Buy your pass as soon as you decide to go to ensure you don’t miss out.
2. Understand What the Pass Covers
The Express Pass allows you to skip the regular lines once per haunted house, ride, and attraction. Make sure to check the list of included attractions so you can plan your night accordingly.
3. Plan Your Route in Advance
Familiarize yourself with the map and plan a route to hit your mus-see rides, mazes and attractions. Starting at the back of the park and working your way forward can usually save time.
4. Prioritize Popular Attractions First
Use your Express Pass for the most popular haunted houses early in the evening. This maximizes the value of your pass and frees up time later to grab food or a drink.

5. Arrive Early
Arrive early to enjoy food and a drink in City Walk before the major crowds hit. You’re also going to want to line up early because it gets crazy packed if you want to see the opening ceremony. If you couple your Express Pass with early entry, you shoul be fine and won’t need to rush.
6. Take Advantage of Non-Peak Hours
If you arrive early enough for there not to be crazy long lines yet, then you can hit some Haunted Houses twice but wait in the short line and then use your Express Pass when it gets more crowded during peak hours. Keep in mind, if you’re planning on going on rides too this will also be a good tip.
7. Use the Universal App
Download the Universal Orlando app to check real-time wait times and navigate the park more efficiently. The app also shows which attractions accept the Express Pass and will help you plan your night accordingly.

8. Don’t Waste the Pass on Short Lines
If a line is short, don’t use your Express Pass. Save it for when lines are long to get the best value from your pass and hit that Haunted House again later in the night with your pass. Please note that some of the super popular Haunted Houses will have 30-minute wait times for Express Pass during peak hours – everything is planning. So If you don’t want to wait 30 mins later in the night, then by all means use your Express pass early on and go through the maze.
