What do I love most about Singapore? Everything is so close!
When I first visited, I was shocked to learn that our Singaporean friends rarely drive more than 20 minutes—and they can be in another country in 45!
Meanwhile, we’ll casually drive 45 minutes to work or 1.5 hours to Disneyland without thinking twice.
It’s a totally different mindset when everything you need is just minutes away.
On my first trip, I didn’t realize just how compact and connected everything was. But by my second visit? I saw so much more. Getting around was unbelievably quick and easy.
If you’re sailing on the Disney Adventure Cruise, you’re perfectly positioned to explore—whether you have a full day or just a few hours before or after your trip.
Some of Singapore’s best attractions are within walking distance of the port, making it effortless to experience even more of this incredible city.
Let’s dive into the top spots you won’t want to miss! 🚢✨

Things to Do in Singapore Before or After Your Disney Adventure Cruise
SuperTrees & Gardens by the Bay
If there’s one thing you have to see in Singapore, it’s the SuperTrees at Gardens by the Bay. These towering, futuristic trees light up the skyline and make you feel like you’ve stepped into a sci-fi movie (or Avatar—seriously, Pandora vibes!). By day, they’re impressive, but at night? Absolutely magical. The Garden Rhapsody light and music show is a must—grab a snack, find a spot, and soak it all in. I cried watching the show (naturally). And if you’re feeling adventurous, walk the OCBC Skyway for insane city views! Sidenote, this is also one of the locations they filmed at for the movie Crazy Rich Asians! The wedding reception scene with all the drama!
While you’re there, don’t skip the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. The Flower Dome is full of stunning blooms from all over the world—like walking through a living postcard. And the Cloud Forest? It’s like stepping into a cool, misty rainforest with a massive indoor waterfall (a great spot to escape the heat!). The Avatar experience here was unreal when I last visited. Even without the exhibit, it’s still one of the most peaceful and jaw-dropping places in the city.
ArtScience Museum
Ever seen a building shaped like a lotus flower? That’s the ArtScience Museum, and inside, it’s just as cool as it looks. It’s part museum, part interactive art space, and part science exhibit—so whether you’re into digital art, space, or just looking for a super Instagrammable spot, this place delivers. The Future World exhibit is a must—think glowing waterfalls, interactive light displays, and trippy digital projections that make you feel like you’re walking through a dream. I also cried walking through this museum because I always cry, and I love art, interactive art, and seeing so many people appreciate art. You can read all about my trip to the ArtScience Museum here.
Marina Bay Sands
You’ve seen the photos. That infinity pool sitting on top of three massive towers? That’s Marina Bay Sands, and yes, it’s as jaw-dropping in real life as it looks online. If you’re not staying at the hotel (which, fair, because $$$), you can still get that iconic skyline view from the SkyPark Observation Deck. And if you want a bougie night out, check out Cé La Vi rooftop bar—sip a cocktail, soak in the city lights, and pretend you’re in Crazy Rich Asians. My routine is usually grabbing bar seating at LAVO and then doing a lap around the outdoor patio for some photos. There’s also a giant mall attached with great restaurants and endless shopping and coffee shops.

Helix Bridge
Walking across the Helix Bridge feels like stepping into the future. This spiraling pedestrian bridge is not only a stunning piece of architecture, but it also gives you some of the best views of Marina Bay. It’s especially gorgeous at night when it’s all lit up! I walked across this bridge so many times, and every single time I had to take more photos – it’s stunning!! This pedestrian bridge will also take you to the Singapore Flyer!
Singapore Flyer
If you want to take in Singapore from a whole new perspective, hop on the Singapore Flyer, one of the world’s largest observation wheels. Think of it like the London Eye or the High Roller in Vegas. It’s a slow, scenic ride that gives you jaw-dropping panoramic views of the Marina Bay skyline, Gardens by the Bay, and even glimpses of Malaysia and Indonesia on a clear day. Each capsule is spacious and air-conditioned (a huge plus in Singapore’s humidity!). I went early in the morning during the week and had a capsule all to myself! Whether you ride during the day or at night when the city lights up, it’s an experience you won’t forget!

Bonus: National Gallery Singapore
Even if you’re not a big art person, the National Gallery Singapore is worth a visit. It’s housed in two beautifully restored buildings—the former Supreme Court and City Hall—so the architecture alone is stunning. Inside, you’ll find an incredible collection of Southeast Asian art, plus cool rotating exhibits that always bring something fresh. And don’t skip the rooftop—it has some of the best city views (and a great cocktail bar). You can also find a coffee bar in the gift shop. We picked up a wonderful art book for our home at the shop.
Bonus: Lau Pa Sat Hawker Centre
If you want to experience real Singaporean food, skip the fancy restaurants and head straight to Lau Pa Sat. This historic hawker center is a street food paradise—satay skewers grilled right in front of you, steaming bowls of laksa, crispy roti, fresh sugarcane juice… it’s all here. The best part? It’s open late, so it’s perfect for a midnight feast after a long day of exploring. Pro tip: Bring cash, your own napkins and come hungry! And last tip: arrive early for satay street – order ahead and grab a pager to come back when the skewers are ready.
Bonus: Merlion Park
Singapore’s most iconic mascot is waiting to welcome you at Merlion Park! This half-lion, half-fish statue is more than just a fun photo op—it represents Singapore’s history as a fishing village (the “mer” in Merlion) and its transformation into the bustling Lion City. The park itself is a beautiful spot to walk around, with stunning views of Marina Bay Sands and the city skyline. And if you time it right, you can catch the light show from Marina Bay. It’s a classic Singapore experience you can’t miss!
Bonus: The Jewel at Changi Airport
No need to squeeze in extra sightseeing—The Jewel is built right into Changi Airport! This place is unreal. A massive indoor waterfall, lush indoor gardens, a sky-high monorail whizzing through the middle, and endless shopping and dining. You can grab last-minute souvenirs, try the famous Shake Shack with a Singapore-exclusive menu, or just soak in the jaw-dropping views. It’s easily one of the coolest airport experiences in the world, and the best part? You’re already there! Make sure to set aside some time before your flight—you won’t regret it.
