Excitement is building as Universal announces the more details of its colossal 750-acre theme park, Epic Universe, set to grace Orlando in 2025.
This groundbreaking addition is not just another theme park but a destination that aims to redefine the theme park experience.
With this expansion, Universal aims to transform from a one or two-day adventure into a multi-day retreat, rivalling Disney World.
In this post we’ll review all of the details about the new Epic Universe and what we can expect in the next year.
What Will Be in Epic Universe?
Epic Universe is set to house various lands, each with a unique take on it’s various themes.
Super Nintendo World
An expansive area dedicated to the iconic characters and games from Nintendo. From what we’ve seen in Universal Hollywood, this land is super immersive and has the best tech around.
We’re looking forward to how they use this new space and interested in how many rides and restaurants will be available to guests.
Harry Potter Ministry of Magic
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter expands with this new addition of the Ministry of Magic. It’s supposed to be based on the Fantastic Beasts series, let’s see how they pull this off.
I’m not too big a fan of the Fantastic Beasts movies but I trust Universal and what they’ve done with past Harry Potter lands. Fingers crossed this new land is just as magical!
Dark Universe
Based on the Universal Monsters, this area looks to be a spooky land, reminiscent of Horror Nights.
I wonder if it will include rides or just permanent mazes for guests and maybe some shows.
Celestial Park
The main hub of Epic Universe, this immersive park features a dueling coaster named Starfall Racers, and will include a number of other rides and dining options.
How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
An entire land dedicated to How to Train Your Dragon! I love these movies. I cannot wait until more details and concept art is released for this land!
What is Celestial Park in Epic Universe?
Celestial Park is the heart of Epic Universe. It will welcome all guests before they tear off into other worlds of adventure and chaos.
This land/hub will feature the new dueling coaster, Starfall Racers. The area will also be home to gorgeous gardens, a water play area and will connect to their newest hotels; giving hotel guests direct access into the new park.
Will Epic Universe Have a Hotel?
In addition to the previously announced Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort, Epic Universe will introduce the Universal Helios Grand Hotel.
This grand hotel, connected to Celestial Park, will feature 500 rooms and offer guests exclusive park access.
Is Epic Universe Bigger Than Magic Kingdom?
Yes, indeed! Epic Universe is about 7 times bigger than Magic Kingdom. This is crazy to imagine but basically, it’s going to be a bigger than both current Universal Studios parks put together.
Ready for the Epic-ness!
As the countdown to the grand opening continues, and more details of Epic Universe unfold, I can’t even imagine how much more we’re going to learn over the next year.
The inclusion of Super Nintendo World, the expansion of the Wizarding World, and the the new Dark Universe, Celestial Park AND How to Train Your Dragon land are really breaking my brain and I know I’m not alone.
Universal Epic Universe is undoubtedly a remarkable addition for the Orlando area and theme park lovers. This feels like just what we need, something new and something grand.
I can’t wait!
XOXO,
Julia
