If you love Horror Nights as much as I do, you’re going to be very excited about this one.
Universal officially brought a year-round horror experience to Las Vegas – Horror Unleashed – and we visited on Halloween night.
It was a whole chaotic, spooky, hilarious adventure… and I have a lot of thoughts.
Let’s get into it!
Getting Tickets
We booked our tickets online ahead of time since it was Halloween. We didn’t want to risk it selling out.
Now to the pricing. The online site made it seem like tickets would be around $70, which feels pretty reasonable for four mazes.
But the prices change depending on date and demand, and ours came out to $100 per person.
I thought that was a bit pricey since Universal Horror Nights is around the same price and you get a lot more for that price – BUT this is Vegas, and it was Halloween.
We had a great night regardless of price, so I can’t complain because I loved every second.
Where is Horror Unleashed

Horror Unleashed is located inside AREA15, just a short rideshare from the Strip. We stayed at Resorts World, and it was only about a 10-minute drive.
Parking at AREA15 is pretty limited, so a rideshare is definitely the easiest option.
AREA15 itself is such a cool spot – very immersive, very weird, very Vegas. In the main building you can find the Omega Mart by Meow Wolf and some other fun activities and restaurants.
The entire area keeps expanding, there are shops now, and even a fun zombie game that we did last year that we loved!!
A Heads Up On the Hours

We arrived around 6 PM, thinking we had the whole night ahead of us since it “closed at 10 PM.”
Nope. 10 PM is a hard closing time, that means:
- Last maze entry: 9:15 PM
- Last call for drinks: 9:30 PM
For Vegas, that felt… early. We were expecting the classic Horror Nights vibe, where you can enter a maze up until closing and exit 30-ish minutes after closing time. But Horror Unleashed shuts down right at 10.
So next time? We’d get there closer to 4:45–5 PM to eat, watch the stage show, grab drinks, and really soak in everything before the shutdown.
Especially for $100, I want to be sure I’m spending as much time as possible.
Dining at Horror Unleashed
There are two food options:
- Premiere House – full-service dining
- Rough Cuts – quick service
We only had time for Premiere House because Rough Cuts closed early (again with the early hours 😭).
Premiere House (Full Service)

The entire place is very dark My old-lady eyes struggled for a second but I adjusted. It made reading the menu a bit difficult at first – once again, old eyes. hahaha
The space itself is pretty spread out – almost too spread out – which made the atmosphere feel a little flat.

Even though the entire space is in a warehouse, you cant really feel it until you’re in the restaurant because the ceilings are so high. The rest of the area feels more intimate with lower ceilings because of all the decor.

I think this dining area needed more decor – something to make it feel more intimate.
They do send scare actors through the dining room, which is super fun!!
And they have Blumhouse movie backdrop photo ops, which I loved.

As for the menu, it felt limited. I wish they leaned harder into fun themed items and offered more creative cocktails instead of mostly super-sweet ones.
We ordered:
- Pepperoni flatbread – good, not mind-blowing
- Fries – incredible. Amazing. A 10/10 fries.
Service was slow, but we weren’t in a rush (we just didn’t realize how early everything would close).

The Horror Unleashed Experience
The entire area is basically one massive scare zone – and it’s so fun!
Scare actors are EVERYWHERE, and they are committed. I got scared multiple times and absolutely loved it. I even spilled half my drink because I jumped so high. hahaha
There’s also a little stage show with dancing and music, and it added to the whole atmosphere. It felt like getting a slice of Horror Nights but more low-key. And I loved it.

Maze Reviews (Ranked by “I Almost Cried” Level)
1. The Exorcist (Most Traumatizing)
Terrifying. I wore sunglasses AND earplugs in every maze and still wanted to cry. One scare actor followed me through TWO rooms, whisper-growling in my ear. Horrifying. Loved it (but also… rude).
2. Scarecrow
You already know cornfields are scary. Suspended corn touching my shoulder? Absolutely not.
This maze really got me. Super atmospheric and creepy.
3. Universal Monsters
Honestly, scarier here than the one at Universal Studios. It kind of had a two-part start thing that I loved. It was a fun one – very interactive with the actors.
4. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Very similar to the one at Horror Nights. Always fun but we’ve also done it a few times.
Wait Times at Horror Unleashed
Shockingly great:
- Longest wait: Exorcist at 25 minutes
- Everything else: 10–15 minutes
If you’ve ever been to Horror Nights, you know these numbers are unheard of.
Horror Unleashed Gift Shop

Shopping is my favorite part of any event. Good merch is VERY important to me and Horror Unleashed didn’t disappoint!
They had so much merch for every maze. It was fabulous.

And the theming of the shop was good too. I loved that everything was branded to the exactly location and it wasn’t Horror Nights merch. I love event-specific merchandise.
We each picked up a couple of items at the shop. I got a hat and cute ring and bestie picked out a new shirt and a necklace.

Final Thoughts: Would I Go Again?

100% YES.
It was SO much fun. Pure horror joy.
This is the closest thing to Horror Nights you can get year-round, and as a Horror Nights lover… I’m obsessed. I will absolutely be back.
And I want to plan more spooky outfits!!
Tips For Your Visit
- Arrive early (like 5 PM)
- Give yourself time for both restaurants
- Grab a drink and enjoy the show between mazes
- Expect a hard 10 PM close
- Allow 3–4 hours to really enjoy everything
Horror Unleashed is a perfect night out in Vegas if you love horror, Halloween vibes, or just want to scream with friends and feel alive again.
Let me know if you go – and tell me which maze destroyed your soul the most.
XOXO,
Julia
