If you’ve ever driven down to San Diego or live in the area, you’ve probably passed by the pumpkin patch—often referred to as the “strawberry fields”—just off the 5 Freeway.
It’s a fun place to spot on every drive. You can watch the pumpkins grow bigger right along the freeway, and when they finally post that sign announcing pumpkin season, it’s official!
Pumpkin patches are always a great way to soak in those cozy fall vibes. Whether you’re here to grab a pumpkin or just snap some pics (let’s be honest, sometimes the pumpkins can be pricey!), we absolutely love this local gem.

- Hidden Corn Maze Speakeasy (21+): For those seeking something unique, check out the hidden speakeasy nestled in the corn maze. Dog-friendly and hosted by Pacific Spirits, entry requires a secret password—making it an exclusive fall treat!
- Oktoberfest: Celebrate the season with Oktoberfest festivities, including festive drinks and food specials. This event happens on the first Saturday in October.
- Tractor Rides: Hop on a tractor and enjoy a scenic ride around the property, with views of the lagoon, freeway, and pumpkin patch.

Dogs are welcome in most areas, including the regular corn maze, the speakeasy (yep, even the hidden 21+ spot!), and of course, the main pumpkin patch.
Just make sure your dogs are on leashes at all times and be a responsible pet owner by cleaning up after them. 🐶✨
There are so many cute spots for snapping photos, so don’t forget to grab some adorable fall pics of your dog posing next to pumpkins, wandering through the marigold field, or just enjoying the cozy vibes with the family.
While dogs aren’t allowed in the haunted corn maze (we don’t want to spook them!), there’s still plenty for them to enjoy during your visit.

Tucked away in its own mini corn maze (separate from the main one), this dog-friendly speakeasy is the perfect place to kick back with a drink after a day at the patch.
It’s open on Fridays and Saturdays in October from 4-9pm, and entry is completely free—but you’ll need the secret password to get in! 🗝️
To find the password, follow the Speakeasy’s Instagram account and keep an eye on their Stories every Friday and Saturday morning for clues.
