A look at everything I wore in London and Paris; from carry-on travel outfits to maximalist layers, comfy walking shoes, and Disneyland Paris style.
Packing for a 10-day Euro trip? No problem. Carry-on only? Semi-problem.
But we made it work!
My style definitely leans more maximalist – I love fun outfits, bold layers, statement jewelry, and accessories that make everything feel a little more extra. But since we were traveling carry-on only, I had to be strategic with what I packed.
I really relied on jewelry, hats, and bags to make outfits feel different without bringing a ton of clothes.
We visited London and Paris in September, and according to the weather app, it was supposed to rain the entire trip. Like… every single day showed rain.
But luckily, that wasn’t the case at all.
We only got hit with rain one day, and even then, it was on and off for about an hour – nothing crazy. It actually ended up being super sunny and hot on our first full day in Paris, which the forecast said would be cold and rainy the night before.
We’re also not huge “coat people.” We usually travel with lighter sweaters and jackets, so it worked out that we didn’t overpack heavy layers we didn’t need.
So with all that in mind, here’s a day-by-day breakdown of what I wore throughout London, Bristol, and Paris.

Travel Day Outfit
Comfort is everything when I travel – especially on an international flight.
I wore black flared leggings with an oversized Disney shirt I picked up at Disneyland Shanghai. I layered my black and white Mickey Mouse faux fur coat on top for a little drama (obviously), plus a denim Mickey & Friends hat, pink Steve Madden sneakers, and my Goofy crossbody bag.
Everyone thought we were flying home from a Disney trip.
Nope… I just like wearing Disney clothes hahaha.
It was actually a super comfortable outfit. I kept my coat in the overhead bin since there was enough space, luckily.
I traveled in jeans once and immediately regretted it, so now I will always prioritize comfort on flights.

Exploring London Outfits
Casual Day Exploring London
One of my first outfits was black and white spotted overalls layered over a green Coachella sweatshirt with platform Converse.
I added pink beaded star earrings and a ton of bracelets and rings to make it feel more fun.
The weather was cooler, but nothing extreme. It sprinkled on and off, but there was never heavy rain. A sweatshirt layered with the overalls was perfect.
I also carried an umbrella with me the entire trip, which definitely helped with the scattered showers.
Breakfast in London Outfit
For breakfast one morning, I wore a long maxi skirt with a Mickey Mouse shirt I picked up from the London Disney Store, platform Converse, and my green Coachella sweatshirt again.
It was SO windy that morning. Like aggressively windy. It felt like someone was pulling on my earrings. I had to take them off because it was too much hahaha.
But even with the wind, it still wasn’t cold. The weather truly made no sense the whole trip.
I ended up wearing this same outfit layered with my Mickey Mouse coat when we traveled from London to Bristol because I had to wear my bulkier items – they didn’t fit in my bag.

@julia.vaness Getting ready for a solo brunch in London. I made a reservation at Sketch 💖✨ I put together the most random outfits all week. It was fun but very time consuming hahaha 😆 #london #londonlife #grwmtravel #brunchinlondon #londonvlog ♬ Red Bellied Black Snake – The Beefs
Dinner Outfits in Bristol
Dressy Casual Dinner Look
One night in Bristol, I wore a checkered maxi skirt from ASOS with a sheer black top from Amazon and a charm necklace from H&M.
I paired it with platform Converse and my black faux leather tote from H&M.
It felt dressed up but still comfortable enough to walk around while looking for dinner. I ended up finding an incredible Indian restaurant called Nutmeg Street Kitchen – highly recommend.

Relaxed Casual Dinner Look
Another night, I went more casual with a plain white T-shirt, Levi jeans, a lightweight black puffer jacket, my denim Disney hat, and Goofy crossbody bag.
I walked around until I found a great Italian restaurant called Moltobueno. The beef carpaccio was the best I’ve ever had.
I had my book with me and just enjoyed a solo dinner. It was such a nice evening.

Stayed-In Cozy Outfit
One night we stayed in, ordered McDonald’s like classy people, and also had ramen hahaha.
I wore drawstring shorts from H&M and my oversized Disney tee. I had walked so much that day, I was exhausted and just wanted to be comfortable.
Walking Around Bristol Outfits
Maximalist Moment
I tried wearing my spotted overalls again with a turquoise sheer long sleeve from ASOS, pink Steve Madden sneakers, and my green quilted bag.
I loved the outfit… but it didn’t match the vibe of the day. I ended up changing, but I took photos because it was still fun.

Casual Exploring Outfit
I switched into polka dot trousers from Nasty Gal, a white T-shirt, my pink Steve Madden sneakers, and the green quilted bag.
I wore this while exploring Bristol all day – coffee shops, the aquarium, and even a Banksy walking tour.
I walked miles and the shoes were perfect.
@julia.vaness My outfit of the day for walking around Bristol, UK. I was so happy and couldn’t believe I was here. Tough to concentrate with a cathedral built in 1220 behind me. Had the absolute best day exploring ✨💖 #bristoluk #traveltok #ootd #ootdtravel #explorebristolUK ♬ Carefree Days – Peaceful Reveries

Relaxed Art Walk Outfit
Another day, I wore wide-leg American Eagle jeans, a cropped Adidas shirt, platform Converse, and my faux leather tote.
I went thrift shopping and explored Bristol’s street art scene. It sprinkled lightly throughout the day, so I packed my umbrella and puffer again, but nothing heavy.

Travel Day: Bristol → London → Paris
This was a big travel day.
We took the train from Bristol to London, had lunch with friends, and then took the Chunnel to Paris, which was so fun. I got a lot of reading done hahaha.
I wore my wide-leg jeans, a white T-shirt, and a green sweater I picked up at Primark in Bristol.
And because I still had zero suitcase space… my Mickey coat made another appearance.
Exploring Paris Outfits
The weather in Paris was all over the place.
Forecast: pouring rain.
Reality: 80° and sunny.
I wore a skirt I picked up at H&M in London with an Adidas shirt I thrifted in Bristol (I washed it in the sink and air-dried it hahaha).
I only packed two pairs of shoes, so Converse it was. And I rotated between my two bags, mostly using my Goofy crossbody.
We stayed out walking until almost midnight, and I was totally fine without a jacket.

Disney Village at Disneyland Paris Outfit
We traveled from central Paris to Disneyland Paris and stayed at Marriott Village d’Île-de-France – about 10 minutes away.
We got an entire house for the price of a hotel room. Insane. I’ll share more about that in another post.
I stayed in my earlier travel outfit because I was exhausted, and it did rain lightly that day, so jeans, a Disney Cruise shirt, jacket, and umbrella worked perfectly.
We Ubered to Disney Village (their Downtown Disney), shopped every store, and bar-hopped through the Disney hotels.
My favorites were the Disneyland Hotel and the Marvel New York Hotel.

@julia.vaness Very relaxed outfit for walking around Disney Village at Disneyland Paris. The weather was warm but rainy. We did fine without jackets until the evening. Disneyland Paris Park Outfit
The forecast said rain again… but it was bright and sunny most of the day.
I wore my Nightmare Before Christmas barrel jeans from GAP with a Halloween Disneyland shirt and my Goofy crossbody bag.
It was the last week of September, so I was in full Halloween mode – even though the park barely had decorations or merch yet.
The evening got freezing though, and since I didn’t pack a sweatshirt (and didn’t love any enough to buy one), I ended up stealing my husband’s jacket for fireworks.
Worth it. Their nighttime show is incredible.

@julia.vaness What I wore to Disneyland Paris. We went the last week in September. It was a sunny day but got super cold at night. I wore my new purple barrel jeans from @Gap from their new Nightmare Before Christmas collection. Added some fun Halloween vibes with my shirt from @Disney Parks and my Goofy Bag. I wore my platform @Converse sneakers and then layered on lots of jewelry. #disneylandparis #disneylandparisoutfit #whattoweartodisneylandparis #disneystyle #disneylandoutfit @Disney @Disney Style ♬ original sound – Julia Vaness
Travel Day: Paris → London
Our final travel day was busy, so I kept it comfortable with pink drawstring pants and an oversized Monsters Inc shirt from ASOS.
And yes… I wore my Mickey coat again because there was still no room in my luggage hahaha.
We stopped at Harrods for last-minute shopping before heading home the next morning.

Planning Outfits from Europe in the Fall
Overall, I had so much fun planning and wearing outfits on this trip.
I feel like packing carry-on only forced me to be more creative with what I brought. I had to really think about how to rewear pieces, layer things differently, and rely on accessories to make outfits feel new.
And weather-wise, September in London and Paris ended up being way more flexible than I expected. Even though the forecast said nonstop rain, lighter layers and comfortable walking outfits worked perfectly for almost the entire trip.
If anything, this trip just confirmed that my travel style sweet spot is comfy, layered, and a little extra, especially when Disney days are involved.
I’m already thinking about what I’d pack differently next time… and what outfits I’d repeat immediately because they were just that good hahaha.
XOXO,
Julia
