Dining at Disney World isn’t all about Mickey pretzels and churros, it has way more to offer guests. While the parks might be overrun with popcorn carts and waffle sandwiches, there are other options available.
During our first trip to Disney World, we ate everything we saw, from popcorn and ice cream to giant cinnamon rolls and literally everything at EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. We were full and tired 24 hours a day for an entire week. We spent every second in the parks, no relaxing, just quick dining in the parks or at our hotel.
On our second trip to Disney World, we did things a bit differently, we took the time to enjoy the truly wonderful full-service dining options around the property and it made a world of difference. When we decided to eat primarily at full-service restaurants for the entire week it slowed us down. We were able to take time to focus only on the rides and parks we love, we saw more of the property and had experiences we still talk about four years later.
Dining at the premier locations on the property gave us a new appreciation for Disney World. It made us realize that your Disney vacation truly is what you make it. And with this list, I hope to help you plan your once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disney World that you will talk about for years to come.
This post is all about restaurants with tasting menus and Omakase menus at Disney World.
While Disney World is home to over one hundred restaurants, these four offer an experience none of the others do. A Tasting Menu or Omakase Menu is the Chef’s choice. It’s the premier and seasonal dishes handpicked by the Chef for guests to experience. Tasting menus and Omakase menus typically involve a number of small dishes served over 1-2 hours for a full culinary experience. Each tasting menu is different and can range in price and number of dishes. We’ve experienced some with 6 dishes and others with 14 dishes served over a few hours. If you are choosing a tasting menu, be sure to ask how long the experience is so it doesn’t disrupt any other plans you have on your trip.
*** Tasting menus are catered to adults. I would suggest saving this meal for an adults-only trip or a couples night.***
