My bestie and I booked a last-minute stay for our Disneyland trip to celebrate her birthday – we literally booked it the night before.
We’d stayed at this spot years ago when it was still the Red Lion Hotel, but now it’s Hotel LuLu Anaheim.
The location has always been one of our favorites, and when we saw the price, it was an easy yes.
Since we don’t usually stay late at the parks, booking a hotel was the perfect excuse to catch the fireworks, grab a couple of drinks at a Disney hotel, and not worry about the late-night drive home.
It gave us extra Disney time, which is always a win.
Let’s dive into my full Hotel LuLu Anaheim review – just steps from Disneyland.
Hotel LuLu Anaheim Overview

The hotel feels bright, friendly, and welcoming. There are still a few areas that look a little unfinished. I remember the first floor having guest rooms, but now it’s blocked off – it seems to be used for hotel operations or is under construction.
Hotel LuLu has a fun, boutique beachside style. It’s all done with bright colors and fun artwork.
Everything was clean, which I always appreciate when traveling. A spotless room and lobby make such a difference.

The staff was great and made us feel right at home. I also loved the welcome drink perk at check-in – you have until 2 AM to pick it up, which is such a nice option.
We dropped off our bags, changed for the parks, and then went back to the front desk to grab our drinks before heading out around 3 PM.

We sat in the lobby for a bit, sipped, and relaxed before starting our Disney afternoon.
It’s such a thoughtful touch, and I love when hotels add those extra details. They even had bottled water available at the desk, which is always handy after a long park day.
Location: Hotel LuLu to Disneyland
Address: 1850 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802

Hotel Lulu is in a great location near Disneyland. It’s definitely walking distance to and from the Parks – even at night.
It took us about 15 minutes from the hotel to the security checkpoint. Hotel Lulu is 0.7 miles from the security entrance of Disneyland.
You will cross a major intersection but it’s a popular one and lots of other people will be crossing there too.
The walk is fine and there’s a Walgreens and CVS nearby if you need to grab snacks or drinks for your park day or hotel room.
Hotel Lulu Room Tour
Our room was clean and spacious enough for two people. We each had our own bed and space to lay out our items.
The room sleeps four people but I like a lot of space – so it was perfect for us two.

I still have the same issue with the wallpaper – weird issue, I know. But I feel like it looks like cinder blocks and kind of reminds me of a cell.
That’s just where my mind goes lol.

Other than the walls, the rooms was great. Some items were a bit older and not part of the renovations but the room overall was nice.
The bathroom felt clean, we had enough towels and a lot of sink space – which is always important.

There was also a refrigerator and microwave in the room!!! I will always give an extra point for a hotel that has microwaves in the room. Food is so expensive, and giving people the option to heat up their own food is amazing and always helpful.

Dining Options at Hotel Lulu
Hotel Lulu doesn’t have a full-service restaurant on the property but they do have some easy and good food options.
The hotel offers room service through Camo Eats. I’ve used them before at another property and loved them.
The food was fantastic and arrived under 20 minutes.
Hotel Lulu also offers breakfast and has a great late night happy hour from 9PM – 11PM.

Amenities
Hotel Lulu has all the necessary amenities for a weekend trip:

- In-room microwave
- In-room refrigerator

Parking at the hotel is $32.50/24-hours and outdoors. They charge $65/24-hours for RV’s.

Is Hotel LuLu Worth It for Disneyland?
Final Rating: 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hotel Lulu was in a great location for us for our Disneyland trip. It was walkable from the parks, had great staff and was clean.
We had an amazing Disney day and night and we felt safe at the hotel – even walking back at night.
We would definitely stay here again!
